"BEWARE. This is a scam. After a walkthrough of my home, I received a quote for $827.76, I was not given an option to pay after the service, and my CC was charged $886.92 by SERVICE CONVENIENCE INC. to replace four window panels. The technician arrived and after an inspection of the windows, told me that he would only be able to repair three of the four windows because he did not have the correct equipment. I told him I would be in my office while he worked on the windows and to let me know when he was finished. An hour or two later, the technician was nowhere to be found. There were messes around two of the four windows that he replaced, he did not even attempt to replace the third and he had broken two additional windows (the panels outside of the interior panel that he replaced). This was over a month ago and it has been a nonstop headache ever since. I have more broken windows than when I started, a mess to clean up, non stop back and forth with this fraudulent company who hasn't even refunded so much as a dollar and I am out nearly $900. Their offer, after all of this, was to refund me $134.44 - a number that doesn't even make a bit of sense - but it is "going to take awhile because they have a new computer system" I am out almost $900 and in an unsafe situation with my street level broken windows. I have sent several messages and I am clearly out out of luck, but you don't have to be. Do not hire this company."

"I am beyond disappointed with the service I received from this car repair company. Initially, they assured me that the repair would take one week. However, it took over three weeks to finally complete the work. Throughout this extended period, they took no responsibility for the delays and consistently passed the blame onto their vendors. Each time I contacted them for an update, I was given a different excuse about a part they were waiting on from the vendors. This lack of consistency and transparency was incredibly frustrating. It's evident that they are neither organized nor competent in running their business. Their poor communication and inability to meet deadlines show a complete disregard for their customers. I felt ignored and undervalued throughout the entire process. This is not a reliable or trustworthy place to take your car for repairs. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Save yourself the hassle and frustration and go to literally any other repair shop. This place is an absolute nightmare to deal with, and their service is atrocious."

FAQs for mirrors installation and replacement projects in Columbus, OH

If your mirror needs recoating, mirror resilvering costs between $110 and $350. Otherwise, you can replace just the glass if your mirror has a frame. You can get a mirror cut at a home improvement store or cut it yourself with a glass cutting tool. If the damage is extensive, there’s a chance you’ll have to replace both the frame and the glass.

Mirrors come in nearly any size, with your local home improvement store usually having 48-inch by 72-inch mirrors for a home gym or dance studio. You can also buy custom-designed mirrors in whatever size fits your needs. Oversized mirrors often start at $1,000 or more, depending on the size and design.

Mirrors are expensive because manufacturing them requires specialized machinery, such as a furnace that reaches ultra-high temperatures to produce molten glass, then a way to cool and form the glass. You cut mirrors with a diamond saw and coat them with metal to create a reflective surface. A silver-backed mirror also requires a chemical process, though most mirrors have an aluminum backing now. A framed mirror can also add to the price.

To look for a quality mirror, consider its purity, flatness, thickness, and reflective coating on the glass. The glass purity can ensure a distortion-free reflection, and thicker glass can decrease the chances of distortion as well. The reflective coating makes a difference, and high-quality mirrors will have several thicker coats of reflective material, like tin-mercury, aluminum, or silver.
