"We are doing a kitchen remodel, wanted to keep current tile flooring which also extends into mudroom, hallway and half bath. We were amazed that these areas looked like new floor after Ed and Mike cleaned tile and grout, and color/sealed the grout lines. Very professional, on time and more than met our expectations! Ed was professional, very informative and answered all questions."

"Ryan was excellent! He was punctual, talented, clean and affordably priced. Honest and trustworthy. Great workmanship. He was very responsive: my new bathroom floor was installed within a week of my estimate. While he was onsite, I kept asking him to do little extras... and he kindly did the extras without charging me. Because of the extras, my job took longer than he anticipated, and he kindly came back on the weekend to finish. If you want a trustworthy, reliable tile job, look no further."

"Pacific Stone did a nice job. Person in charge of scheduling measurements and installation was pleasant and courteous. Within a few days of my inquiry they came out to my house to take measurements and they brought samples to choose from. Installation was done within a few weeks after that. Took away the old countertops and sinks. They know what they're doing. One of the installers was actually the owner and they were prompt and professional and cleaned up well."

"Andrea is a careful and conscientious craftswoman. She is detail-oriented and takes pride in her work. The job she did for us transformed a 20-year-old bathroom from a space that was looking somewhat shabby and run-down (cracked and stained grout, stained silicone caulking) into a much cleaner, newer-looking bathroom. In addition, she showed up when she said she would, and throughout the job she was accessible by phone."

"Stonecare was a pleasure to work with, scheduling was very easy and prompt, and the cleaning was thorough. He explained what he was doing and ho to reduce creosote buildup. He also put down drop cloth to keep the carpet clean. Very happy with Complete Chimney service, have had them do the annual cleaning several times."

"We used Naz Tile Service for our kitchen backsplash and it came out beautiful. They were very knowledgeable and even helped us decide on a grout color which ended up looking gorgeous. All the workers were respectful and left the space clean."

FAQs for tile, stone, marble clean, grout, polish and maintain service projects in Concord, MA

Use a stiff-bristle brush and warm, soapy water to loosen surface grime. Then, let the grout dry and finish with a grout-specific sealant. This combo cleans without scratching the tile and locks out new stains. Always follow the label directions so the cleaner and sealant bond properly. A few extra minutes of care keep grout bright and help your floors look fresher longer.

The most effective cleaner for badly stained grout is a professional-grade steam machine. High-pressure, high-heat vapor lifts embedded dirt without harsh chemicals and brightens grout lines in one pass. Pros often pre-treat tough spots with a mild solution and finish with a soft brush to protect the tile. The result is a deep, even clean that lasts longer than store-bought products.

Tile and grout are water-resistant, not waterproof. Dense materials like porcelain or glass shed moisture well, but even sealed natural stone and standard cement grout can absorb water over time. That’s why routine sealing and prompt spill cleanup matter.

Keeping moisture out prevents erosion, mold, and discoloration—especially in bathrooms, kitchens, and other splash-prone areas.

Schedule professional tile and grout cleaning every six to 12 months, with quick touch-ups in between. Busy kitchens and bathrooms often need attention on the shorter end of that range because constant moisture speeds up staining.

Sticking to this routine keeps grime from setting, reduces mold risk, and stretches the life of your tile and grout, saving you from bigger repairs later.

When done correctly, tile and grout cleaning is perfectly safe for your floors. Pros match cleaners and brushes to your tile type, control pressure, and avoid harsh chemicals that can etch or erode surfaces.

If you’re DIYing, test new products in an inconspicuous spot and follow label directions. The right technique removes buildup while protecting both the tile glaze and the grout lines.

Yes—apply a fresh sealer once the grout is completely dry, usually 24 hours after cleaning. The sealer forms a moisture-resistant barrier that blocks stains, mold, and everyday dirt, making future scrubbing easier. Skipping this step leaves porous grout exposed, which can lead to discoloration or cracks and, ultimately, expensive repairs. A quick reseal now protects both the grout and the surrounding tile.
