Customers say: True professional

"I did not receive an invoice or receipt after payment for the work that was completed. So Iâ m not sure what I actually paid for. After the fixture was repaired. He put the same patched up work over the pipes. Glad fixture was replaced and he arrived promptly when he said. Not sure I will use his services again though."

"Vince and his crew, Jose and Nas, were truly fantastic to work with. <br /> If only all of my experiences with contractors could go this well! <br /> From start to finish everything was super buttoned up with these guys. <br /> Vince was very happy to answer all my questions and provide me with insight and ideas on the work we were doing and how it could fit in to our bigger renovation plans. He helped me sort out venting options for an oil to gas conversion we were working on, along with incorporating a replacement of all the supply side plumbing in our home that I was in the middle of. He had some great ideas and really goes out of his way to come up with the best plan for your needs. During all the work he was available on the phone before and after normal business hours so that we could sort it out. <br /> Jose who came out to do most of the work was very patient and you could tell he really put some thought and time in to our job to make it fit properly in the tight spaces in our home, and not just rush through it to get it done. The results were great and I was really impressed with how it turned out. It's great to work with a contractor that admires their work and is proud to show the homeowner after it is done. I know this may sound funny when thinking about plumbing that goes behind walls, but its almost more important because once it's done you don't want to have to rip that drywall out and look at it again! <br /> My wife and I also loved how tidy everything was at the end of the job, not a single thing left out after they were done. <br /> I hope to not have to call these guys again any time soon, only because I hope our plumbing woes are over for a while! But if I ever have a problem again they will be the first and only people I will call. <br />"

"I called(Friday) Lauder Plumbing and they answered right away. I asked them if they could come on a Monday but Jack offered to come in earlier on Saturday which was nice. I told him what was wrong(I broke the pipe trying to fix a clog) and Jack presented himself very professionally to the situation. It turned out there was still clogging left of what was the old pipe that leads to the wall. Jack came in and took out the old piping that was left and put in new piping that was of better quality of what was there before."

"We woke up in the house we have owned exactly 90 days to find water pouring out the front of the hot water heater. We were able to turn the water off. Had to wait until the next day for them to come. They called and came by earlier than expected. They rang the bell, and when I opened the door, they proceeded to march right past me without a word and go into my basement. I sent my fiancee down. They said we needed a new hot water heater (which we expected because of rust on the bottom of the unit). They left and came back 2 hours later with a new one and had it intalled within 30 minutes. They marched all over my brand new carpet downstairs with their muddy boots and only spoke a few words with myself or my fiancee (they were not of spanish descent). Less than good customer service"

"We called Mainstream plumbing at 6:30 am due to what we thought was a burst pipe. We had no water and had to get to work. Steve returned our call immediately, and was at our house by 8:15 am and fixed the issue on the spot. We are very grateful for his reponsiveness and will hire him again if/when needed."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Congers, NY

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
