"Reynaldo was very responsive and friendly. Worked well with the on-site property management. Replaced water shut-off valves and identified another leak in kitchen wall pipe which he also repaired."

"Dr. Drip Plumbing team did an amazing job at my mom's house in nanuet where they were able to find a leak in the basement, which was a challenging overall job. They had to jackhammer the flooring in order to find a massive crack in a very old pipe and they were able to replace it while also fixing a leaking toilet. Very satisfied with their work and would highly recommend them to anybody. Looking for a great experience for the plumber"

Small jobs welcome

"Pipe Works did a top notch job to first educate me about my leaking water heater and why my water heater was not your everyday low cost heater but actually a power exhaust water heater. Once I had the knowledge, I was honest with them and advised that I had another company coming to evaluate and give me an estimate for which they were very kind and advised to contact them if I would like to go with them. Based on that, I opted to go with Pipe Works to replace my water Heater. Not only did they show up on time for the estimate but they came back as promised with the necessary materials to perform the job. At the end of the day, I had a new and working hot water heater and I did not feel like I was taken advantage of. I will definitely recommend Pipe Works to my friends and family. Thanks for your Help Pipe Works!"

"Cross county quickly identify the leaking joint while other plumber didn't, replaced the joint and reconnect all the pipes. They also found a faulted auto relief valve and replace it as well.  Left only after making sure that everything they fixed worked.

"Alfredo was terrific. Right from the start of the project, he responded first and was willing to purchase the required materials (sink & toilet). The other contractors were late (more then a week) to respond and wanted me to pickup all the required materials, even though I am not an experienced plumber and unsure what materials would be required. Albert Plumbing took responsibility for the entire bathroom upgrade and made things really simple for me. I would hire Alfredo again in the future."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Congers, NY

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
