"I needed teo toilets replaced. He replaced the one with expertise and was good about taking the toilet out without spilling any water throughout my home. Volunteered to do research on installing the other toilet due to pipe issues. Overall, great work. Would definitely use him again. "

"It was the way it was installed and he told us what to do if it happened again. The warranty deductible was $100. That was just for him to come look. I paid $100 for someone to come out here and be like, "Just put some ice down the garbage disposal." He was very helpful."

"When Billy was pricing the various items, electricity and the gas were separate items so that we might want to use our own contractors, which we didn't. But that was a nice thing to offer. We opted for certain customized features, and Billy told us what the different prices would be with and without those added features. Once we decided on everything, we had a little extra wait because of the custom features. When the crew came they left the area spotless. Billy stated back to explain how the unit could be work with the remote and with manual switches at the unit itsel <br />"

"A/C install went fine. Furnace install was awful-- failed inspection several times, did not communicate clearly what I needed to do to get gas service at the house, and blamed me when I reached out to the salesperson for help. Ended up paying WAY more for the gas install than I was told it would be ($1200 vs. at most, several hundred). To be clear, gas lines were installed by Elkton Gas NOT Moon Air, but how do they not know how much it costs if this is their business? Completely unwilling to help when I contacted them, just told me that they had already gone "above and beyond" the terms of our contract and could not help. I am pleased with the units they installed but beyond frustrated with the level of communication and professionalism. Electrical side of this company is excellent, HVAC is less than professional."

"A few months ago, our water heater went up. As a quick fix, my husband decided to get a smaller water heater installed because we didn't have the time to search around for an experienced plumber who would give a good price. The smaller water heater did not put out enough water and was installed completely wrong. Pipes R Us came and performed a free estimate. They were extremely professional (wore booties and everything!) and they knew what they were doing. They gave me a price that was GREAT and it included a discount that would help us offset the cost of the useless small water heater that we had previously purchased. Their price included hauling away 2 hot water heaters and installing the new one correctly. I'm VERY pleased and would highly recommend them to everyone. <br />"

"The staff in the office are very knowledgeable about all aspects of the well and water system and I order the media for my whole house filtration system from here and they always have it in the front office awaiting my arrival. Once there I pay for it (prices are very reasonable), they answer any questions I have, and they even have one of the guys load the heavy buckets into my trunk for me. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a knowledgeable and friendly company for all of you needs."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Conowingo, MD

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
