"The owner was awesome even from the beginning getting a quote.  He worked around my child's nap schedule to not disturb anything.  His quote was very fair, his crew arrived on time and they worked quickly and efficiently.  One thing in particular that was nice was their attentiveness to our home.  They always removed their shoes when inside and took extra precaution with their ladders inside to not scratch our hardwoods.  Found them based on Angies list, and would definitely recommend/use again.  Our windows have literally never looked this nice since we have lived here."

"Installed windows in one bedroom and the master bath. Generally went well but compared to an earlier experience with Renewal by Andersen the installers were not as professional and did not clean up as well. The new windows were dirty on the inside and outside and they left some debris on the bedroom floor. When the Andersen installers left the windows were clean and the floor was spotless. Having said that these windows were almost 50% less expensive so I would probably use them again and just ask them to clean up better before they leave. <br />"

"Thought spring had broken but technician found it was the cable that was broken so spring had come off. Replaced both cables as other one was very old, and also put on new bottom fixtures/rollers. Very prompt (was actually able to come earlier than scheduled as another job didn't take as long as expected). Called to check before coming to the house."

"The day rang to enquire about a windshield repair, I spoke to a very nice man. He explained everything clearly and mentioned it would take 2 to 3 hours to repair. So I booked it for the following day. I was going to wait, so I came prepared. The waiting area was very nice. Especially for place that deals with autos. There was coffee and a variety of magazines. The people were very friendly and made the wait time go fast. It took 2 1/2 hours and my car was ready. Job was great. No mess left in my car. So far the windshield is great! Would definitely recommend this company. <br />"

"Jay came out and did a fantastic job on the windows. It took around two hours. The glass looks fantastic. However, the screen door was a different matter. He said that he would take the existing screen door back to the shop, clean it up and get back to us with a price. After he left from installing the windows we noticed that he took the dog protectant screens(and didn[t leave a note that he had done this). It took until April 22 to get the screen door back and installed. They did not return any text, email or phone calls. All we wanted to know was what is the status of our screen door. Finally, my wife and I made a road trip to their office. After which, we got it resolved in two days. We believe they are good at installations, but need work on the commo and organizational skills. We would use them again, but would have the work spelled out clearer. If they would have done the work when promised, I would have given them a five star performace. <br />"

"I was very impressed with Trinity Exteriors from the first meeting to the wrapping up of all paperwork details. Communication was very clear and prompt. They were able to schedule my job (roof replacement) even sooner than the first estimate. The person I met with suggested a modification to the initial bid and took time to explain his reasoning, but when I decided against the proposed modification, that was no problem at all. The crew was on time and extremely professional. They did a great job of cleaning up afterward. I would have no hesitation with recommending this company."

"Devin was great! I give him 5 stars. I'm submitting only 4 stars on this review because I had a difficult time getting his roofing crew to complete installation of the drip edge. I had to talk to Devin two times to get the crew back and even then there's one side where the drip edge was not replaced."

"The project went very well although we were interrupted by the beginning of Covid-19. There was still a lot of confusion over necessary precautions at that time. I spoke to the owner, Chuck Leo, and he was willing to do whatever would make us comfortable. We ended up delaying the project after it was half completed. This was an inconvenience for them and us but we needed to be extra careful due to some health concerns. They just completed the remodel with the details listed below. It was a tricky project as we had already put in a new floor, shower/tub, and toilet a few years back, so the plan had to work with that. We wanted to save the lovely Italian floor tiles, if possible, but pieces needed to be added. The plan was to remove a linen closet from the hallway outside the bathroom which essentially took up potential valuable bathroom space. We decided gaining "real estate" in the bathroom was well worth losing that hallway closet. That gave us the opportunity to add a double sink with extra counter space. Another challenge was to add double medicine cabinets into the existing wall which was (weirdly) made out of wood. That also made it more complicated to add light sconces between and on the sides of the two cabinets. HSP rose to every challenge. Rose, the office assistant, the lead carpenter, the plumber, the electrician, and the drywallers were professional and quick to respond to any questions we had. Chuck was super helpful in reviewing some of the choices I made, such as the Moen faucets we had installed. I really appreciated having their help in comparing products as they definitely have the expertise. They had me pick out the cabinets and counter material from A1 Kitchen and Bath in Omaha and that worked out beautifully. A1 took the measurements and created a beautiful built-in for us. I took a piece of the tile with me when I first visited and was able to find the perfect match for the countertop and cabinets/drawers. We feel the end product is beautiful and that the look blends in perfectly with the period of the house. The medicine cabinets are shaped like the awning windows and everything just goes together very well. Patrick, the lead carpenter, did a super job fitting the few extra pieces of the Italian tile I had saved to cover the gap where the linen closet had encroached into the bathroom. You would never know what a crazy design had been replaced with this new look that is what should have always been there. It really was a job well done and I would definitely work with HSP again!"

"Fast and professional installation from start to finish. Larry and his crew are honest, thorough, dependable, and competent. Our new gutters, downspouts, and gutter covers look fantastic! The siding work to repair a leaky chimney, which included the installation of new fascia boards and flashing, was done with great care and attention to detail. It all came together nicely and looks amazing! We are very pleased with the installation, service, and dependability of First Choice Gutters & Siding. This is the second time that I have hired this company to perform exterior home repairs and will hire them again for future projects. If your have exterior work to be done, I highly recommend calling First Choice Gutters & Siding to do the work."

"They did a good job. They were very responsive to any issues I found. There were some nicks and dings in the wood and when we discovered them, they pulled it out and replaced it. I had a rip in one of the screens and they very quickly put a new screen in. There was an issue with a hinge from the manufacturer and they came back and replaced the hinge. They were great. I'm pretty sure they weren't the cheapest around but from the other quotes I had, they were actually below the other quotes. They weren't putting in pocket windows. They put in full replacement windows so I think it was a good job for a reasonable price. I think he sold me a good window. They were late once."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Council Bluffs, IA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
