Pete responded promptly to my initial inquiry, came out ASAP to provide an estimate on the cracked step (and on a bigger "dream" project I've been thinking about), explained what had likely caused the damage, and gave me several options for either replacing the step just as it had been, or upgrading a little bit depending on my price range. His recommendations were good, and we didn't feel pressured at all, but the full reshaping of the step into a rounded one was a bit outside our budget so we took him up on enlarging it by several inches instead. Overall, Pete was friendly and professional, and had that air of experienced competence that you look for in someone doing work on your house. I didn't even bother getting a second estimate. I did, however, call a good friend who has worked in the brick industry for years, and he assured me that the price Pete quoted was right in line with what he would expect for my project if you want it done right. When I gave Pete the green light, he scheduled the work promptly, showed up in the morning on time a few days later, and knocked the whole project out by that same afternoon. Put simply, the step looks great. It was done promptly, in line with our budget and at the price Pete originally quoted, and our whole experience with him was easy and hassle-free. The new brick color is matched perfectly with the old brick (absent a decade of wear and tear obviously), as is the cement, and it is clearly quality construction. In sum, I would highly recommend PK Masonry to anyone, and I will definitely use him again if I can ever convince my wife to let me pull the trigger on that dream project I've been thinking about..."

"Brent saved us at least $1,500 the last time he was here.  We asked him for  an estimate for replacing our exposed back deck.  He suggested that he pressure wash it and paint it.  That saved us at least $1,000, and it looked great. <br /> <br /> He saved us more money by using the vapor barrier we had already inexpertly installed, and properly re-installed it. He also installed a dehumidifier in the crawlspace. <br /> <br /> We were going to have Brent paint the inside of our screened porch, but he suggested that he first  make repairs to the ceiling, then paint.  It all looks GREAT!  <br /> <br /> Brent is very professional and honest,  communicates extremely well, is punctual, answers any question you have and doesn't talk down to you. "I contacted Luis through Angi to get some bird holes in our stucco repaired. On his own, because they were in the neighborhood, they came by the house (we weren't home) and surveyed the outside and then texted me with an estimate. When they arrived for work, they not only fixed the stucco, but we found that they could do other things as well...they pressure-washed the stucco and stone we have surrounding the house, and they made some other repairs to correct an issue we were having with rainwater getting into the house. They are very proactive but certainly didn't suggest anything we didn't actually need. No pressure, just trying to be helpful. Good quality work. Paint was well-matched on the stucco. Reasonable prices. When it comes to your house, you want the job done RIGHT!"
