"A damaged tongue and groove hardwood piece was removed and replaced and entire floor area refinished. The original sanding when this floor was installed (not by Clark's) was not a quality job and Clark's craftsmen were able to bring it up to a much more acceptable level. Their "atomic dust free system" was amazing and well worth the extra money paid for the service. After completion of the job, even the walls in the room which were not covered were dust free. The refinishing job they performed matches other hardwood throughout the house and we are very pleased with the job."

The floor is a specialized type, tongue in groove oak planks with a custom surface treatment. Alameda was the ONLY contractor that understood how to repair the half of the floor that was damaged so it would match the other half, and the rest of the house. The other contractors did not, could not guarantee a match. They just wanted to replace the whole living room with something that would NOT match the rest of my house. My floor looks beautiful now. It was done on time, and for the price that I was originally quoted. I can't say enough nice things about Alameda Hardwood Floors. They have the expertise, the work ethic, the customer service, the communication, the talent and knowledge. A+++"

"We hired Juan for our kitchen backsplash and floor tile installation on our kitchen upgrade project. We ended up hiring him for cabinet, countertop, and range hood installation, too! Juan and his team were absolutely wonderful to work with. He was prompt, professional, and an excellent communicator. His work and commitment to getting it right came through every day, and he has a very collaborative style. His advice gave us confidence in the decisions we were making about materials and installation. Because our home is 100 years old and has many quirks, we had a few surprises along the way. Juan didn't hesitate to offer up solutions. (He put in 6 shims to level our window sill! Something we didn't even know we needed). Our kitchen turned out better than we could have imagined, and it's because of Juan's commitment to excellence (and patience with us!) that it turned out so well."

"The salesperson promised all would go well, he had checked our doors and no doors would have to be shaved for the flooring to fit (now some doors cannot be opened because they need to be shaved) said the flooring would be glued to the floor (it was not), said they would move up to 8 pieces of furniture per room so we did not have to move anything (we had to rush in over the holiday and move all of the stuff out of the way), promised an extra 10% off the cost of the bill as a special (we were declined that also), and also said installation would start on Wednesday November 24th at 8 am. No one showed up at that time, and when they did they brought the wrong color of flooring so they could not start. They had to rush through the job on Saturday and Sunday because we opened again on Monday, and installed flooring over an existing drain that we need uncovered (it still has not been fixed even though we have contacted them several times over the past two weeks). Two doors still do not open easily because the doors were not shaved. And, the foreman Ryan did not have the people return when he said he would to fix these issues last Saturday before 1 pm. Now our calls arent being returned anymore. But, they made sure to call us right away to try and get paid for the balance of the job, and even that person never wrote back when we voiced our concerns. Bottom line, the sales person Jeff promised the world and did not deliver it, the foreman has not gotten back to us, and we need a drain uncovered as we are a hospital and need all drains to be open for a reason. So, we like the flooring, but the lack of communication, lack of organization/planning, unfulfilled promises, and general inaccurate information cause us to not really want to recommend them, unfortunately."

We had put off having flooring installed because a good portion of it was ceramic tile and glued linoleum. We imagined it taking days to demolish all of the floors.
