"I was very impressed with Seth and his crew! We had a horrible water situation in our basement (bought an older home and the first heavy rain revealed serious water issues! ugh!) and knew it needed a serious solution if we wanted to be able to use our basement for storage. Seth provided a free quote and even suggested additional solutions with pricing options. He communicated with me quickly by text and took the time to explain every step of the process. At the end of each work day, he would walk me through all the work that had been done that day (again, answering any of my questions). The guys worked hard for four days, in some pretty hot and humid conditions! Seth also pointed out some other problem areas in my basement as they did their work and made recommendations on how to resolve those issues (there was some wood rot on the stairway area and a leaking water bib; he even gave me the name of a contractor for replacing my rain gutters outside when I was ready). Seth installed a basement dry system along all four walls of the basement, two sump pumps in opposite corners, and a lateral across the middle of the basement. I chose Better Basements & Beyond because it is a local company (not some big box company just out to make a buck) but also because Seth actually does the work himself (again, no fancy representative doing a sales pitch who doesn't get his hands dirty). "The work was messy but The crew was very hard working. The jackhammer hit a pipe under our sink. They came back to fix that. While the amount of water was drastically reduced in our basement, I will never feel secure enough to finish it. They have returned 4-5 times to troubleshoot the problem because their service has a lifetime guarantee. The last time they came (2 years after original job) they added another sump pump and redug one of the ditches. It seems to have helped but I still see a very small amount of water seeping through a few cracks in the floor. With two small kids in the house, it's exhausting to keep having service people in and out of your house. I'm not happy it took so many visits, but I think overall that they were fairly quick in responding to my calls and getting out to our house."
