"Eric and his team were punctual, the showed up early, and gave an extremely reasonable estimate for the cost and timeframe to complete the job. They finished early and cleaned up the rooms to look better then when they started. The crew was friendly and informative throughout the entire project. Eric gave great insight into the process and gave tricks and tips moving forward. I will 100% be referring any individuals looking for a painter or handyman in the area. I canâ t say enough good things about the team and Eric himself. Truly a wonderful experience for me and my family. Most importantly the rooms look great and all patches were corrected to ensure a professional look. Cant wait to finally have people over to show off our new painted rooms."

"I have used Garden State AC & Heat for many years and have been completely satisfied. They treat me like family. They installed a Hot Water Heater for me and replaced my HVAC system. Sean and Jim have built a great team there and I would recommend them to anyone looking for good, honest HVAC work in their homes. The techs are always on time and very professional in my home. "

"We can't say enough good things about SZ Mechanical. We had a very old central a/c unit that was nearing its end. My wife and I obtained cost estimates from well known vendors - all proposing major work that included replacing the heating system too and duct work. First was George who was so honest and advised that most of the proposed work was not necessary providing us substantial savings and then Jerry who did the actual installation was professional, clean, removed all the debris and took the time to explain everything to us. GREAT COMPANY!"

"Install guys were nice and clean. They did forget to seal the gas exhaust pipe properly. A tech came back out that night to seal the PVC piping after I called them about it. Nice reaction but letting carbon monoxide exhaust leak into my basement in the first palce was not a quality job. The salesperson while polite was not aware that the three zone heating on my existing equipment was not compatible with the new Carrier system to be installed. Rather than confirm it with his manager he stated specifically that there would be no problem and the techs would demonstrate the zone heating before they left. Halfway thru the install the techs let me know that the zone controls would not work with the new system and I had to pay extra to make that work. Ok, lesson learned, never accept what the salesperson says only what they write on the order. Eventually I paid for the new board to be installed. Of course the new board is a special order and a week later and multiple calls I still do not have a date for if and when the install will be completed even though I have paid in full. Why the Install team does not confirm that the equipment is on order and when it might be installed is beyond me. I am patient but they need to keep the customer informed. As to the new Carrier Heat Pump and Gas furnace. Working beautiful now that they have sealed the exhaust pipe."

"We have called on Tony for electrical repairs for many years. For example, some months before he added an outdoor light on the back stairs to illuminate the stairs better. This time, he repaired an bathroom fan and a florescent light switch in the basement. Both proved simple. He is generally clear about his availability and in assessing the time and cost of a project. He discovered that an exhaust fan in the attic for cooling the attic about the 2nd floor was not operating and replaced a motor that had warn out. We don't usually obtain estimates, but his prices seem reasonable. See below."

"The service was excellent! They arrived to pick up the vehicle a day earlier which was great. They delivered the vehicle right to my daughter's door and found a side street to unload. The service was delivered within the time frame given. All of my questions were answered via phone or email and the paperwork was seamless and the price was very reasonable."

"GJ Custom Renovations was incredible in every respect. Greg -- who is the GJ in the company's name -- is a man of many talents. Whether it's renovating a bathroom, building an addition, or advising on electrical and plumbing, Greg's work was first rate. His pricing is reasonable. He is extremely diligent. He meets every deadline. And he is a joy to work with."

"One year prior GOIAS did a great job installing a beautiful hardwood floor on the first floor of my home. I wrote a detailed review on that experience.
As luck would have it Hurricane Sandy flooded my first floor causing all sorts of damage. The one year old floor could have possibly just be refinished however my wife and I are expecting a baby in June and I didn't want to risk mold, etc. so I opted to replace the floor. Almost one year to the day Gil and his crew, the exact same set of guys from last time came and replaced the the floor.
Gil as last time was easy to work with. Money needs to spent in so many places that I am doing my best to minimize all expenses. Gil understood that and I did the demo work removing the floor which reduced the cost a lot. Perhaps I cannot install a new floor but I do have the skill to pull one up!
The same floor as last time was installed complete with opposing 45 degree angles in my living room and dining room. The stairs that were done last year were not damaged so were left in place. The new floor and the old floor (on the stairs) matched very well. In addition I had my second floor hallway done in the same flooring. Carpet will eventually be done in the bedrooms.
Like last time the floor was installed unfinished and finished on site. That is my preference. They also added a coat of polyurethane to the stairs which had been through a lot with all the mess, etc.
In addition the horrid linoleum floor in the kitchen needed to be replaced. Since I was having GOIAS tile the kitchen I also had them do the bathroom. Pulling up tile is tough so I left that to Gil's crew in the bathroom. They did a great job and jumped in to help when I wasn't able to remove the fridge from the kitchen myself. They went the extra mile and took off the doors and didn't charge extra.
All the work came out perfect. There were no price overruns since Gil had his records of how much wood the floors took. Last time the 45 degree angles ate more flooring than expected but the cost was trivial.
Again, I cannot say enough good about Gil and his team. Gil and his team are punctual, available for questions and advice all the time. I hope in a year or two to have Gil install the hardwood on my third floor."
