"Great customer service, excellent choices of products. Even better was the installation by experienced installers. They did a great job, the doors are much heavier and of a higher quality than from a big box store, more soundproof, and look incredible!"

"Great. Dustin arrived on time for our 9:30 appointment and offered to wear a mask. He measured and photographed each of the windows to be replaced and entered his findings alongside the existing detail in the order summary. He answered any additional questions we had and provided some additional detail on a large palladium window in the front of the house. He was professional and courteous and completed his work in just over an hour. It was quite evident that he wanted to make sure that we were going to be happy customers after the new windows were installed. We have been quite pleased with the professionalism of everyone we've come in contact with from Renewal by Andersen."

"We still had old aluminum single pane windows in our 1970's built home. You could sit in front of the main picture window and just feel the cold air on the back of your neck. Anyway, we got price quotes from several different companies and Window World was the least expensive by $1000. They had an impeccable record with the BBB, the Bettter Homes and Gardens seal of approval and we even knew someone that had purchased windows from them so we went ahead and signed the contract. It was Spring when the windows were ordered so it did take about 8 weeks to get them made. They were installed in July of 2012. It was all done in a day and the installers were very good, if not the prettiest to look at. Its been about 16 months since our windows were installed because I wanted to get through at least one heating and cooling season before I submitted a review. I've got to say, I couldn't be happier with our new windows from Window World. They are very nice to look at, easy to clean, and my  utility bills have dropped more than I thought they would. Thanks Window World. I don't really care for the company name, but you make great windows. <br />"

"HHI showed up on time to provide a quote for both jobs. In the case of the repair of weather damage to three dormers on our roof, they provided options for repair and recommended what they felt was the best course of action. There was no attempt to expand the job beyond what was actually needed. The quote provided included all labor and materials and was roughly half of what I received from other contractors. Dean performed the actual repairs and did an excellent job. Our front door is fiberglass and needed to be stripped and re-stained. HHI was one of the few contractors I found that had actually done this before and was able to discuss what would be needed based upon actual experience. Dean did this work as well and did an excellent job. In some areas, he needed to apply stripper 9 times just to get the old polyurethane and stain off the fiberglass. I have recommended Harville Home Improvement to our neighbors because of the quality of work performed at a reasonable price."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Dayton, OH

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
