Customers say: Quick response

"Don was very prompt and had the request taken care of the same day as requested. I would do business with Don again in the future should the need arise. Don said that he would be available for further assistance if we need it as we move forward with our project. Very reasonably priced."

"Frank was prompt, efficient, and nice to talk with. He was able to schedule the appointment with me for the morning after I called him. He completed all projects very well and is clearly a skilled handyman. The bed frame in particular was a lot of work, and he did an excellent job. I was glad I contacted him, and I highly recommend him."

"Bought a HUD home and it needed some "upgrading". The home was in pretty bad shape but I knew that going in. Since it was a HUD home there were a lot of hoops I had to jump through for the bank. Luckily, Gand R Construction was pre-approved by my bank as a HUD contractor, which gave me a lot of confidence in them up front. We all know how banks are and Wells Fargo had already done the approval process for Gand R. They had checked their license, insurance, and made sure they always pay their suppliers and subcontractors, so I didn't have to worry about some kind of lien coming my way years down the road. <br /> As far as the job went, Larry, one of the owners, was on site every day until the job was done. Larry and his crew did some of the work themselves and subcontracted other parts. They all worked as a team with Larry as a great leader. They basically gave me a new house in less than two weeks. Larry was familiar with all trades and when the flooring guys tried to pull a fast one saying that the tile had to be cut to the wall molding (they just didn't want to remove the baseboards), Larry straightened them out. Larry and his crew did a great job and he clearly knew what he was doing and wouldn't let the subcontractors get away with anything. I was impressed. <br /> I've bought and sold a few homes in Western Colorado and used several contractors, but, Gand R Construction was by far the most attentive and knowledgeable that I've come across in a long time. I would definitely hire them again. <br />"

"Rafe the owner was completely knowledgeable, professional, & friendly and I feel very confident in his suggestions regarding every aspect of the project.  This crew was efficient, courteous and hardworking and they always cleaned up the work site at the end of each day.  The project was completed on time and on budget.  My new guest cottage is beautiful."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in De Beque, CO

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
