"Our home is not the easiest to work on, because it is old and uneven. Kevin gave us a fair price and worked until the job was done (it was a hard job and took about 10 hours!). The work was excellent. The door was installed so much better than the other doors in our home and looks great! Thanks, Kevin!"

"used Stone Design to reuse granite countertops after a water leak ruined our original cabinets. Our insurance company required us to try and save our granite countertops. This required recutting the seam and installing the countertops onto new cabinets.  Many (all except Stone Design) said that reusing the granite was doomed to failure. Most likely the countertops would break or would not fit onto new cabinets. However Stone design handled it with ease and did so in a courteous and professional manner.  <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br> <br>"

"My experience with them was wonderful. They were really great and very friendly. They gave suggestions and look at different options with me and really walk me through the process. We spent a lot of time talking through it. They're really good with following up like they called to just check on things if we made a decision or if there's anything else they could do which I appreciate."

"We had the works done to our home and these guys were absolutely amazing. I would recommend them for all of your home needs. The attention to detail with them is what set them apart from other company’s that I’ve dealt with. They were skilled, quick, reasonable priced, and great individuals."

"It was good, but it took them forever to get it done -- about 7 months. I know they had to order the stone from overseas, but I had to keep calling and following up with them to learn the status of my stone. The work itself was great, and he did call me after the installation to make sure I was happy."

". Mike started out like a ball of fire. He was always telling what he was going to do and didn't do it. He over promised and under delivered. Now a year later a large area has settled in the patio at a low point where a drain should have been placed as per our conversation. He is aware of the problem and refuses to even look at it. I have offered to pay him to repair his work and he ignores the issue. He is clearly ALL SMOKE AND NO FIRE. <br /> Nice guy but cannot back up his work up. <br />"

"All went well except the counter/dishwasher connection.  Apparently they did not have the proper screws and used  a screw that they cut.   The screws rusted and the dishwasher worked itself loose in a matter of a few weeks. As a result the top of the new stainless steel dishwasher was scratched by the rough cut screws.  <br /> When I called the general contractor back to repair they showed the screws to me and explained it was done when the granite was installed.   <br /> <br />"

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in De-mossville, KY

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
