"Julio did a great job figuring out what the issue was and even fixed some incorrect things a previous electrician had done. He was fast, professional and very friendly. I highly recommend."

"I had an issue with a faulty light switch. I found Dave through Home Advisor. He was quick to respond to me and patiently listened while I explained my problem. We were able to set up an appointment and he kept in touch with me in the meantime. We were actually able to move the appointment up by two days since he was going to be in my area. Dave was very polite and efficient. I will definitely use him for electrical jobs in the future."

"Last week, we noticed our heater was not working very well. I called Purcell's, and someone came out the next day (Wednesday) to look at it. They determined the limiting switch was broken, and he fixed it on Thursday. Our house felt warmer, but it wasn't getting to the thermostat reading. I called on Friday, and the technician came out later that evening to change the settings. The temperature dropped over the weekend, and our heater struggled to reach 64. When it read 57 on Monday morning, I called in again. Matt, the owner, said that he was going to come out to take a look at it instead of a technician because he wanted to see what was going on. He arrived before he said he would, and he found the problem to be the furnace was dirty and needed to be cleaned. He cleaned out the furnace for us, and the house is now heating properly. Within 30 minutes, our thermostat was reading 62 (before it was 58), and it is still climbing. I can definitely feel the difference as there is a lot more air pressure coming out of all the vents. Matt did not charge for the technician coming out the second time or this morning when he cleaned out the vents. He said that we had already paid enough. I really appreciated that both the technician and Matt answered our questions and did not pressure us into things that we did not need. Thank you so much for making our house warm again in such cold weather!"

"I had two repair orders. The technician for the freezer repair came within a few days and was excellent. He came prepared with parts and conducted the installation in record time, cleaned the place and was very polite and courteous. The firm/technical for the second repair related to a plumbing problem could not come for 10 days because there were too many jobs before mine. This is the second time that CHOICE Home Warranty has disappointed me with a plumbing request which they should know cannot usually wait for 10 days. I had to cancel the request and pay an outsider to do the job. As I see it, CHOICE HOME WARRANTY is not well suited for plumbing-related requests."

FAQs for electrical switches, outlets & fixtures install or repair projects in Dewey, IL

Wiring conversions for relocating outlets require upgrading the existing wiring to the correct amperage before installing the new outlet. This step ensures that the circuit safely supports the outlet's power demand. Engaging a professional guarantees that the alterations meet current electrical standards, thereby ensuring a safe and efficient installation overall.

Installing an outlet can be completed in 30 minutes, but professionals charge a minimum labor fee covering one to two hours of work. This fee accounts for travel, setup, and any extra tasks that may be required during the installation process. Bundling additional services with the installation can lead to overall cost savings while upholding stringent safety standards.
