"We wanted to finish part of our basement but had concerns about a few areas where there were leaks during long sustained or heavy rains. We knew the risk of mold and other unknown damage behind finished walls was too high of a risk for our investment and health safety. We did research of basement waterproofing companies in the Cincinnati area and settled on Everdry after determining they had the best reputation and track record based on review we read. The job was way bigger than we ever anticipated, but the workers were careful and considerate of our space inside and outside the house, and they returned everything to as normal as could be considering the level or work required when they were done. There were a few times over the first few years when we needed Everdry to come back to repairs some chimney leak issues in one of the unfinished areas of our basement, but they were efficient and persistent in resolving the issue. 15 years later, we are still enjoying a dry and comfortable finished basement. "The crews were extraordinarily polite, friendly, efficient, and very energetic. They ran into a lot of underground water when digging the trench for the buckled wall repair, but were able to put in the necessary reinforcements from inside the basement extending out to the trenched area. We live in an area with a lot of underground springs and artesian water, and when they began work the dirt under the foundation and crawl space was just wet mud, and water poured in at 36 inches deep as they created an outlet for the water to be safely drained away from the house. The basement is completely dry and we have a back up sump pump. My basement is surrounded by a crawl space since it was added after the house was built. The sump pumps and dehumidifier are warrantied for 5 years and the waterproofing has a lifetime warranty. Our house had problems because the basement was added after the house was built, but Indiana Foundation was able to make the house safe, and completely dry and usable. Since we live on a hillside, we will be adding a French drain behind the house and garage, far enough away to not further damage any of the foundations, but at the natural flow of the hillside where water collects to run down hill or underground. If we go at least 36 inches deep, it should help reduce some of the water that flows into the house area. This was some advice given by the supervisor at Indiana Foundation. They don't install French drains any longer, as they don't carry away all water and don't carry a guarantee, but in our situation it will probably help and is something I will be contracting out in the near future. The French drain is similar to what farmers install in fields to drain away excess water to a creek or deep ditch. It isn't something we have to do, but it will put a lot less strain on the sump pumps and other equipment, and in case of a long term power outage, would likely save our other appliances too (furnace, water heater, walls, etc.). I love the battery back up pump and it has already been in use twice when we had two separate power outages from storms. The workmen from Indiana Foundation were delightful to have in my home, running in and out with loads of materials, cheerfully hammering the walls and floors to install their system. Second: My electrician was able to repair a line running to our garage after the water problem was resolved. Water poured in over the connections in the basement without our realizing it, and no electricity was live in the back room of the garage. New basement, New Electric, New Plumbing - we are very happy with the results!"

The crew was polite, kind, and came in, did an excellent job in 3 days by digging a trench on the inside of the basement, removing the dirt from the bottom of the foundation, installed corrugated tubing, rock and then cement. They also installed a Humidex airpurifier and new sump pump with a backup pump. They cleaned up afterward. Any questions I had were answered in a respectful manor. I now have peace of mind knowing that I no longer have to monitor weather forecasts for rain or have to clean up anymore incoming water. The system is warranted for the life of the house and included within the price, which increased the value of my home."
