He also looked at our water heater (which they do routinely, apparently) and saw that our expansion tank was not functioning. He explained why this mattered, why it likely wasn't working (age), and replaced it."

"I contacted Ben Franklin after another company kept putting me off for a month. It was always "we're booked up now, maybe next week." But Ben Franklin (BF) immediately sent someone to give me a free estimate. The price was close to the other company so I went with BF and they started the project immediately. The original plan was to just clean out the line between my home and the city sewer system. They began Feb. 1, but they discovered major problems where my pipes meet the city's. It involved digging up the street and completely replacing my pipes. BF coordinated with the city, so I didn't have to do it. It was a major job and they worked all day in a cold, constant rain. When they had not completed the job by Friday, Feb. 5, I figured we would be without plumbing the entire weekend, but they surprised us by showing up early Saturday morning and worked all day, once again in a cold rain, and completed the job that night because, according to the crew chief, they wanted us to finally have plumbing that works. Shane kept me constantly updated along the way. Friendly, professional crew. Good work. I hope this review isn't too long but other plumbing companies I've dealt with don't seem real interested in actually working! Ben Franklin, however, is eager to work. "This gentleman realized the reason my water heater was spewing water, after only six years, was because there was no regulator on the water coming into the house and it was coming in at 150psi! He replaced the water heater and when I smelled gas afterwards he double checked all the pipes, including the gas pipes, and fixed the gas leaks, on an old pipe for the gas, immediately. Everything has worked wonderfully since!"

He assessed the problem and provided me with two quotes: One, to unclog drain and repair garbage disposal. Two, unclog drain and replace garbage disposal. I chose the quote for a replacement. Service was performed rather quickly, within an hour after actual work was begun. I would definitely hire them again."

"It went very well. They came out and they were very professional. They did quality work and cleaned up after themselves. The price was very reasonable too. They also did some work on a water line in my garage. They replaced a pipe that was freezing and replaced it with a pipe that would expand. They did not have enough wrap to wrap the whole pipe, but they came back in a few days and finished wrapping the pipe. I did not even have to call and remind them. They just came out and did it."
