"They gave use recommendations of what we can do with our windows. They did the job in two days. The cleaned up was wonderful. Dan, who had been the sales rep, who first showed us products and measured came back after the job was finished to make sure everything was done correctly. He also took pictures. He gave us recommendations on a window that became foggy. Their quality insurance even called and said she would come out to make sure everything was done right. We are totally happy with the work."

"Had given a deposit for the window and it was to be installed within 6 weeks. On the 6th week I called and they said yes the window was in , when did I want it. The installer came the next week. Though he did a good job of installing my window I had bought new plastic brick molding which he cut backwards and had to rig in , I had also bought new plastic window sill 6' long enough for 2 windows. when he left he took all my materials and lost my check . I know they have many installers working for them , in my case ,with one window , I think they sent a good old boy and not a professional . The window does it's job , has ? a lifetime warranty and probably no one but me and a builder would notice the Brick Molding is on the wrong sides of the window . As far as my extra materials I just chalked that up to price."

"I have hired Braswell Construction Group 3 separate times to do work on my house. They replaced my roof on a 5000 sq ft house, they did drywall work in my kitchen on the ceiling, and they also did several household repairs to help me sell my house. I have been dealing with Chris. He is very professional, always comes when he says he will (and from what I have experienced in GA with contractors, that means a lot!), and the pricing has always been fair. He talks through the process of each job and what needs to be done and gives you the pricing upfront. He has played an instrumental role in helping me sell my house. One of Chris's best attributes, he is always so pleasant to deal with. He has found cheaper solutions to problems other contractors were trying to charge me an arm and a leg to fix. I'm very glad I hired him to do all the work that was done. He is trustworthy!"

"Several years ago I used T&J Exteriors to replace 3 or 4 windows on a recently purchased home, so I contacted them again when I decided to replace the rest. My first experience was great; the owner met with me to determine what I needed and to answer questions. After the installation, he called to make sure I was happy with the product and service. My second experience was different; I had to leave a few messages before I heard back from the owner. He told me that he subcontracted out all his window jobs, saying someone would be out to measure. The man who did the measuring and the man who actually installed my windows were professional and competent, and I love the quality the windows. After the job was completed I did not contacted by the anyone to see if I was satisfied, but about a week later I got a call asking for payment. Maybe I am just old school but I believe spending more than $5,000 with a company entitles me to at least a "thank you for your business"."

"I wish I had used these people earlier. I ordered a part for my dryer and was able through their instructional video to fix it myself. Let me tell you I am "mechanically challenged" in just about every way. LOL I may have cut myself through my own stupidity but I did it. it was easy and I did not have to pay a repair man for a simple fix. Thank you so much!"

"Everything was going great at the start of the project with the demo of the old deck in March 2016. However the craftsmanship of the carpenter was not very good, boards were rough cut and the gaps between the deck boards were inconsistent. Luis then stained the deck as promised, however this was too early to stain and the deck boards start seeping sap. It was unusable, we asked him to repair which he did, and they did a great job of fixing and re-staining the deck boards."

"The company did an excellent job. Immediately after damage occurred (a tree fell on the roof) they patched the hole so that it wouldn't leak. They replaced the roof when promised and at the price promised. They explained to me beforehand exactly what would be done, what materials would be used, etc. The company representatives that dealt with me personally were all professional, courteous, and very helpful. The work crew showed up on time, worked hard, and  did a good job of clean-up afterwards. Other people I know who have had roofs replaced picked up roofing nails for months afterward. I found only a few. In addition to the roof replacement, American roofing repaired a small hole in ceiling sheetrock. They did such a good job that I can't even tell where the damage occurred. <br />"

"I began by reaching out to home depot to get an estimate for carpeting in two bedrooms, three closets, a hallway and a stairwell. The measurement went well and was uneventful. I don't think Romanoff was involved at this stage. <br /> After picking out the carpet I wanted, I purchased it through the Home Depot. I received several emails detailing the installation process and notifying me that Romanoff would be performing the installation, and providing an online scheduling capability. <br /> I scheduled the installation and received another email, confirming the date. <br /> The week of my installation, I received another email with tips on how to make the installation proceed smoothly, and a call directly from Romanoff confirming my installation time window. The representative was very polite and courteous. <br /> On the day of the installation, about 30 minutes before the beginning of the arrival window, I received a call from a Romanoff rep apologizing profusely and informing me that the individual scheduled to lead the install had called out sick, and that they had another team lined up to come and perform the installation (another Romanoff employee), but was currently on another project and would come straight to my place after. <br /> All in all, my install window was bumped from the 9-11 window to the 1-3 window, which is fine. The company were prompt in letting me know about the problem, and did not try to reschedule me to another day. <br /> The install that arrived was Jose T. and his assistant. They were both very polite and worked very hard. They called me from the road about 40 minutes prior to 1pm to let me know that they were on the way. They got right to work as they arrived and didn't stop until the job was done, about 2.5h later. <br /> They then walked me through a thorough inspection of the job, pointing out to me where the seams were (I couldn't see them, even knowing where they were). I was given the option to keep the remaining (scrap) carpet, which I accepted. <br /> tl;dr: The job was beautifully and professionally executed, despite the scheduling hiccup (which I felt was also well-handled). <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Douglas, GA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
