"Jim Cartwright showed on time.  He was very affable, and even helped <br /> <br />me remove a very heavy oven from my kitchen which he did not need to do. <br /> <br />Major kudos to him for that effort! <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />He checked the HVAC unit and informed me that there were two <br /> <br />small pin holes in the heat chamber and suggested buying a carbon monoxide detected and <br /> <br />having one or both units (entire HVAC) replaced. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />That night, after turning the unit on, a strong "burning smell" permeated <br /> <br />the areas covered by that unit. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I called another HVAC provider (Greenway), and that man disassembled the <br /> <br />burners in the afflicted unit, dumped out what appeared to be a suitable amount of <br /> <br />burn residue from all burn tubes, and reassembled the unit. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />There has been no problem since. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Bottom line:  Bonanza is more interested in replacing your existing unit(s).  He took more <br /> <br />time assembling a new quote (for 1 and two units - my home has three) than he did <br /> <br />carefully inspecting and (not) cleaning the unit.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />"

"One of the visits required that Sheetrock be cut for gas stove connection and another visit required cutting Sheetrock to repair the bathroom leak. The third visit was for the new faucet to be installed. Extremely pleased with all communication as well as the work. A small company so be patient to have the work done. Donna coordinates w/Mark for scheduling and they are worth the wait. The plumber and helper are professional and knowledgable. They explain what is needed and clean up after completion. Wade is our new plumbing company."

"He didnt have any discounts and was still cheaper than the other companies. In order to switch the valve, he had to cut the pipe from the walls and fit it properly. Did it the same day I called."

"I’ve been a loyal Ray Baker customer for several years and use them yearly to do the backflow valve checks on my sprinkler system. So when the valve ruptured due to cold weather I obviously called them. They told me they were very busy due to the cold. I asked if they could just have someone come turn off the valve, I could wait until a later date to have them fix it. They agreed. The plumber arrived later in the afternoon and took 2mins to turn off the valve. I was then given a bill for $65 and told they gave me a discount. The plumber also said they would have usually waived the fee but since they were busy.....well, they won’t need to service my house any more. I can’t believe I was charged that much to turn off a valve they knew I would hire them to fix. I will find someone else to fix it and do the yearly backflow checks. Very disappointed they felt the need to charge so much to a loyal customer for simply turning off a valve."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Eads, TN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
