"Jeff really is AWESOME! He has done a lot of work for me over the last 18 mos. and will be doing more, because he is always on time, exceeds expectations and his fees are always reasonable. Most importantly, Jeff really does treat your home like his own. And while he is a first-rate painter, what impressed me most was his ability to turn his hand to just about anything and do it extremely well. So, I did not need to hire a lot of different pros to get projects from start to finish. Jeff did a beautiful job patching drywall and painting the interiors of 2 homes for me--one of which sold in 3 days for the asking price, the other I live in now. He matched the exterior paint on the chimney of my new home to cover the seller’s sloppy stucco patch job and did it so well the patch itself is hardly noticeable. He’s installed 4 new ceiling fans and moved 2 others for me. Plus, he has replaced a dining room pendant light, an 8-lamp bathroom vanity light and 2 garage wall lanterns. Also, Jeff patched a hole in the side of the concrete foundation and did such a great job, it’s unnoticeable, and so tight it stopped tiny ants from coming in. He also repaired several interior and exterior doors and replaced all but the frame of a damaged attic ladder by himself (Not an easy job). Jeff is amiable and honest and when he couldn’t do a job, he said so. Then he went out of his way to find someone who could, for a great price. Can’t ask for more than that."

"It went very well. Joe came to our house and diagnosed the problem quickly and correctly; ordered the new part; and kept us informed while waiting for the part to arrive. Then set up an appt to come do the repair immediately. Nice job."

"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

"The services that MWWM provided were excellent. I asked so many questions because this was my first time ever having to do this type. Mr. Wilson was very kind, patient and understanding. I was scared it wouldn't look good. The colors we chose are beautiful. I have received so many compliments from friends and neighbors. I would highly recommend MWWM Services for any Exterior Painting!"

"Excellent work, would highly recommend! Unlike a few others that I had contacted, Wayne followed up immediately and completed the extensive repairs needed. Wayne had checked the areas out a few days earlier and gave me the quickest schedule available, which was on the following Saturday. The work took about 5 hours but Wayne completed everything. The price was very good. His wife Tabitha was able to find the materials needed (aluminum, coating, etc.) at very reasonable costs which save money on the project."

"I have lived in my home for 40 years and have had to repair screens on my 2 screen porchs (14x14 and 12x36) many times (thanks to raccoons and opossums) and I dreaded each time I had to have that done (past experiences have been unpleasant). Jayjays was remarkable, they answered my request on angies list long before anyone else did, (same day) They were on time, very professional and informative, their prices were great and the repair job (1 screen door and a large screen panel (8x8) was perfect, no wrinkles and the screen is tight. I am going to have to have all the remaining screens replaced on both porches this winter and you can believe Jayjays will be the company that does it. Thanks Jayjays, We will be seeing you guys again. J. Sykes, Valrico"

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Eagle Lake, FL

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
