The details:Just a few hours before I had to leave on a flight out of the country, I discovered that my water heater was leaking when water was coming up through the seams of my laminate flooring. I only had time to turn off the main water shut off valve and the circuit breaker before heading off to the airport. Once I reached my destination, I did some research on Angie’s List hoping to find a good one-stop-shop company who could take care of both the mold/water remediation and the reconstruction… I was lucky to have found AW Martin who exceeded my expectations. I contacted AW Martin after hours and reached an answering service. Tony Martin returned our call within minutes. He was patient and answered all of my questions. He explained that he would deal directly with my insurance company so I wouldn’t have to while on vacation. Within a couple hours he and his crew began working on the mold/water remediation portion. My dad relayed to me that they worked until 2 am and that they were extremely careful when moving my fine china from the sideboard into the dry kitchen. They protected all of my large furniture with plastic sheeting and floor protectors. They also used plastic to wall off the upstairs and my kitchen to prevent the dust from traveling too much. They ripped up all the wet flooring and drywall as well as scrubbed the mold and sprayed. They brought in industrial blowers to dry out the house. The next day they returned to the house and Tony met with my insurance adjustor to review the damage and discuss numbers. He was able to agree upon a number so that I didn’t have to worry about that while I was on vacation. I was able to witness the care and attention to detail firsthand during the rebuild process. Christian, Chris and Olger were polite and a pleasure to deal with. Christian always answered my phone calls and was able to answer any of my questions or concerns. He was the one that suggested the upgraded baseboards and it has made such a difference. His team’s wall prep and paint job was meticulous; no paint drips or messy edges. I did a couple of upgrades with the flooring, the recessed lights, and the baseboard where I had to pay more than what insurance covered… but the end result was well worth it. I would not hesitate to hire them again. I will recommend them to my friends and family."

"From the moment we asked Juan to come and give us an estimate, he and his entire crew were nothing but professional, punctual, and did an incredible job.  When we first called him to come give us an estimate, it was later in the day, (5:00ish) but he still answered the phone and came over the next day (Tuesday).  I noticed the courteousness he showed when he took his shoes off until we were ready for the basement, and when he took them off again when we got upstairs from the basement in order to minimize the dust and dirt.  He quoted us a price we felt was fair and asked when they could start, and he told us Thursday of that week!  

He sent two gentleman over, both equally nice and professional in their job.  They finished the initial dry wall installation on Thursday, and the person handling the mudding came the next morning.  He did a great job, got it done in one day but they were unsure whether the final sanding would be Saturday or the next week.  Juan shot me a text message that night that as long as the mud was dry, they would be over the next day, which they were.  Sanding was completed in half a day, and Juan and I went around and he touched up a few areas with mud that had been over sanded.

During the entire job, they laid tarps on the floor between the outside and the basement as well as the stairs to go up to the master bath so to minimize the dirt and debris they left behind.  When they were finished, they cleaned with the dry vac and a damp mop on the floors.  For the price we paid, we are incredibly happy with the quality of the work, how personable Juan is, and the professionalism of the entire crew.  If we ever have any other painting or dry wall projects that need to be completed, they will be our first call for sure.

"Matt was very professional and easy to deal with. The work he did was outstanding, he took the time to prep all the surfaces before painting and I'm certain that because of the added time he spent before he began painting his work will last a long time. Being an exterior job he had to deal with several rainy days but despite of that still managed to finish what was a very large job in a reasonable amount of time. He was willing to work with a product that he had not used before at our request, we wanted our wooden deck refinished with Home Depots Deck Restore coating which turned out amazing. "I hired Dominic's Painting to paint the entire exterior of my old (1700's) colonial home in the Summer of 2017. This was a very big project and they did such a fantastic job that I hired them once again to paint (and wallpaper) the interior of my house in late 2017. "First received estimate via email, which included the crown moulding coupon. This was about a month in advance of the scheduled date for the work. Joe contacted us a few days before the date to go over details and ask if an earlier date would be possible, but unfortunately that did not work for us. (He was able to keep the original date, thankfully.) At this time, we also realized that we had misunderstood the terms of the coupon. The moulding was pre-purchased by us, but the coupon includes the cost of materials. The moulding also exceeded the limits of the coupon in terms of level of detail (dentils) and face width, but Joe agreed to keep the original coupon price since material was pre-purchased. Advice to coupon redeemers on Angie's List: READ THE FINE PRINT!
Joe arrived on time on the scheduled day with one other worker. They laid out ample floor cloths, set up equipment in the backyard and got to work. Unlike some contractors we've had, they did not set up a radio and were rather quiet throughout the day. By late afternoon, they had nearly finished but Joe had to leave for some evening estimate appointments. They did a very good job of cleaning up. He returned the next day to do touch ups, so what was originally proposed as a one day job turned into 1.5 days.
Overall the quality of work and the experience was great. I was a little surprised that the trim work was done free-handed -- no tape or other tools were used to achieve perfectly straight lines. This is apparent upon close inspection, but otherwise unnoticeable. The extension of the job into two days was not a problem for us, but could have been an issue for other people unable to be home another day. Nevertheless, we were very pleased and would definitely hire him again.
