"They did a spectacular job considering what they had to work with when they started. The roof is exceptional. I don't have any leaks and I don't have roof shingles blowing off in my yard or the neighbors' yard; it is wonderful. The thing that I was most impressed was that they cleaned up after they were done. These guys went out and made sure that the nails were up and everything. I was just very pleased. I have recommended them to a friend. The price included the tear off of the old roof. At some places there were three to four layers of roofing shingles thick and there was a layer of wood shakes. People had just gone over and over it. I was way beyond the village code, but I bought the house like that. It leaked and I tarred it until I got enough money to get the roof done. They also insulated over the porch for me. They did the garage roof as well. I absolutely had no complaints. I had a lot of people into my house to do work. This was the first group of people that I have had here that did what they promised and cleaned up their mess. I had no problems and no need to call them back. I got prices from several other people. They weren't the cheapest, but they were right down there. It was a fair price. They had it done when they said they would have it done."

"Matt has consistently gone above and beyond in his work. I have worked with many contractors in this area and he is the only one I will now use. The work is done quickly, beautifully and at prices that can not be matched. He is conscientious, on time, thorough and holds to his quoted prices. I have recommended him to several friends who are as equally happy with his work. Aside from the home repairs. He designed and made from scratch a gorgeous large shadow box to house my husband's guitar. Matt has also helped me figure out some redesign ideas that I will be having him do that I would never have thought of myself. I cannot recommend Matt highly enough. He is honest, respectful and his work is done to the highest standards!"

"We have always been pleased with The Powell Company. Their service is great from initial contact to job completion. They can be a little more expensive than others, but we have been very pleased. The siding repair this summer is due to weather after 10 years, not product or workmanship."

"I visited there showroom and spoke to Sandy, very informative and very professional. There isn't a question that she doesn't have an answer to. She walked us through each step and showed us what type of materials would be used in order to install the countertops. The timing was our most difficult piece to the puzzle and both Sandy and her Husband were able to accommodate. We wanted this project done while our family was on vacation so we didn't have to deal with the mess. Aurora stone was able to come to the house that week and laser the area for measurements. Once they had the measurements they needed a week to complete the order and prepare for install.  While we were gone Sandy and our general contractor coordinated the install and when we got back from vacation our new sink and countertops were installed. I love supporting local business and Aurora stone is one of the best. <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Earlville, NY

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
