"I can't adequately express how excited we are with Tyson James' work. These 12+ year old carpets look like new. The carpets were cleaned just before we moved in nine years ago by another big name department store service. There were black dirt lines along the walls and some stains in the middle of one bedroom. We were told that those marks and stains could not be removed. When Tyson was done there was not a trace of these marks. I looked hard and could not find evidence that they were ever there. <br /> Our appointment was for 11am but we received a call telling us he would arrive early. He came one half hour early and after some very friendly conversation got right to work. He was very pleasant to work with. He, and his assistant, took just about two hours to clean 865 sq. ft. of carpet. The price was $263.00 which I though was very reasonable. So we feel we got great service, very high quality work, at a very fair price. <br /> We would give <strong>Carpet Wizard Professional Cleaning and Restoration </strong>the highest rating we could possibly give. <br /> Tom and Mary <br />"

"I bought a new to me house in the summer of 2019 and needed to redo a bathroom (including moving a doorway) and also wanted to add a garage. Found CORE via Google and sent them an email (along with numerous other companies most of which never responded). The president of the company, Corey, came out himself and sat down to talk about what I was looking to do and timeline, he took measurements and pictures, explained their process, etc. I ended up using them and they began the bathroom work almost immediately due to a lucky break in scheduling. There was a lot of communication, especially via their app, and their carpenter Kim did a great job on all the work and was meticulous to protect the house interior from any damage and also he kept the area very clean as he did the work. We hit a few snags as you usually do on things being on backorder or whatever and they quickly worked with me to figure out substitutes so we didn't lose time. The end result on the bathroom is fantastic and everything I could have wanted. When it came to the garage I knew it would be more involved given the scope but I hadn't fully anticipated the obstacles we would have to overcome with the town. I was looking to hand over duties to someone and have them deal with everything and boy did they ever have things to deal with. The town put them through so much to get approval but they kept at it, were great at keeping me updated on things, and took care of it all. It ended up taking a lot longer than we could have imagined but none of it was due to them, as soon as we got approvals they were there starting to work. I really appreciated that everyone from CORE (and between the projects I think I dealt with almost all of them) was nice, professional, wanted to help solve any problems, etc. There was never someone I had any issue with or could complain about in the least. Even the sub-contractors they used for things like the concrete were fantastic. I kept commenting on how nice they were and Corey was always appreciative that I felt that way and everyone was very nice to my 9 year old daughter as she checked out what they were working on. They never pushed anything I didn't need, but would always make suggestions that made sense or would be better and less expensive. If you aren't interested in doing the work yourself to pick things they even will help with suggesting based on your criteria! The bathroom ended up slightly under-budget and the garage was right on. Though I'm ready to be done with big projects for now I would absolutely use CORE again in the future and would have no hesitation recommending them to family or friends."

"Cleaned rug, which thankfully didn't smell of deodorizers at the end. <br /> I also took a rug to them to evaluate after the previous rug cleaners ruined it and an owner told me this sometimes just happens after several cleanings. While I finally got a cash settlement from the previous cleaners, I was concerned it couldn't be fixed but wanted to know for sure. <br /> An owner at Liptak looked at my ruined rug. While he not only confirmed what I could see--the rug was indeed ruined, Mr. Liptak was able to look at the stains and dye runs and explain to me exactly what the previous company had done to ruin it. Mr. Liptak also confirmed my thought--wool rugs can last hundreds of years when treated right. This was not a result of my rug just having been cleaned 3-4 times before. <br /> I will use Liptak again. <br />"

"Obviously, we have been happy with them because we used them over and over again. Everything looked great when they were finished. It was just their usual service. They were in and out and did a good job. There were two people that did the cleaning. I think their price is good because my wife uses them. They are okay price-wise."

"I am writing this review to acknowledge the power of Angie?s <br /> list as well as to express my satisfaction with the work done by M & M <br /> Construction at my home in Hartford. We <br /> have a 100 year old house which one rainy day flooded in the basement ? the first <br /> time this had happened in the 15 years we have owned the house. The flooding was not rainwater, it was backed <br /> up sewage!!! We had a local plumber, <br /> suggested by friends, check it out as an emergency and after hours and hours of <br /> expensive manipulation managed to cause the backed up sewage to drain and <br /> identified that a main sewage line had partially separated. The problem was however not solved and with <br /> the next rainstorm flooding repeated in the basement as well as through the <br /> kitchen sink, which caused the entire hardwood floor to buckle. A repeat visit by the same plumber claimed <br /> that this was an entirely new problem! <br /> Repeated calls to have this and another plumbing services to address the <br /> problem were futile. <br /> Searching Angie?s list for service providers to replace the <br /> sewer line led us to M & M Construction. <br /> On line reviews of them were very favorable, but we did not know anyone <br /> for whom they had done any work. We got <br /> in touch with Anthony (Principal with the company) and he immediately came out to examine the site and provided <br /> us with an estimate and work proposal. <br /> We took a chance on the fact that reviews of Anthony?s were a reflection <br /> of what to expect. He promptly began the <br /> work as proposed. Searches at the MDC for <br /> layouts of the sewage line turned up negative. <br /> The only record on file was the point at which the house connects to the <br /> city sewage system. They began work from <br /> the property edge and found a drain line. <br /> Went through the entire process of replacing the line but when tested <br /> the problem had not been solved! So <br /> Anthony and his crew after putting a camera down, identified the brake point of <br /> the sewage line and it turned out that the house has two lines that tie into <br /> the a single line under the sidewalk. So <br /> they re-dug, found the second line and replaced it at no additional cost to <br /> us! It was a lot of work, and during <br /> this process Anthony kept us fully informed. <br /> During this ongoing work, our trust in Anthony grew, and <br /> knowing that we needed a new roof, we asked Anthony if he knew anyone who could <br /> redo the roof. To our surprise, he <br /> collaborates with a roofer on roof work. <br /> We visited sites where they were replacing a roof and had good opinions <br /> of their work from the homeowner. We <br /> contracted Anthony to redo the roof! The <br /> roofers did a very good job and we are very happy with the work. <br /> As we also needed a new driveway due to flooding in the rear <br /> of the house, and knowing that Anthony had the heavy equipment necessary for <br /> excavation work, we engaged him on another project to redo the driveway and <br /> redesign the parking area behind the house. <br /> Working with him we designed a permeable paver parking area, with <br /> permeable pavers lining the driveway. <br /> The layout of the pavers and the driveway was completed before the <br /> winter snows and now what is left is touch ups to complete the project and grow <br /> grass in the permeable pavers. Heavy <br /> rains in the Fall that would normally have resulted in major flooding in the <br /> rear of the house are a thing of the past! <br /> The snow melts that have recently occurred resulted in no flooding giving <br /> us confidence of a job well done. <br /> Planting grass where the work was done and other minor touchups still <br /> remain for the spring which we are fully confident will be completed. <br /> Anthony is trustworthy, a perfectionist in his work, and <br /> very responsive to questions we raised during all aspects of the work he has <br /> done at our home. I have told Anthony <br /> that he is welcome to bring any client to see the work he has done for us at <br /> any time. <br /> Thank you Anthony. <br />"

"Feb. snow and rainstorms caused a large ice dam to form on our North side roof, and we had water damage in both the master bathroom and the family room. <br /> Both ceilings had water stains--and both were cathedral ceilngs--high and difficult to reach. We also had some cracked plaster in the corner of the family room from settling, as well as one corner in the kitchen. The very top of the ceiling in the master bath had some loosening of the drywall tape and "mud", and since we were at it, I asked them to include this, as well as a cleaning and replacement of light bulbs in the kitchen fan--again, too high for us to get to. Inspection of the bathroom water stain proved to be not from the ice dam, but a problem with the installation of the bathroom fan and light by the original owners--use of too small a unit and no insulation, causing lots of condensation which leaked down and stained the ceiling. Both rooms would need repainting of the ceilings and the family room needed a total repaint. Touch-up of the bathroom wall where some nails had popped and needed recovering would be enough. They matched our 9 year old paint perfectly. <br /> The men arrived punctually each of the three days it required. They moved and/or covered furnishings and carpeting both in the rooms and in the hallways to protect them and were very careful to keep dust and dirt to a minimum, and cleaned everything up each night so we could resume normal living. They did a great job with everything, and installed a new fan unit of the correct size in the bathroom--cleaned up my kitchen ceiling, and made the fan/light unit look like new. The men were courteous and good at their jobs and did everything we had asked. <br /> Our house looks great again, and we are very satisfied with the company, their estimator Phil; Joe, their supervisor, and his crew. <br /> We'd hire them again in a heartbeat! <br />"

"They did the work. They didn't do some of the things we expected. Because it's cement work, you can't undo it. It wasn't like they did shabby work but they could have done a better job. There were some things that I had to call them back to redo. Overall, they did a really good job. The contractors could have been here a little bit more to oversee. I had to call them to say it wasn't done correctly. It was reasonable. They provided a 10% discount. They were responsive. They were punctual. They left the area clean. The workers were good. They were professional and accommodating. When I asked them to do something, they did it. They quickly responded and fixed it right away."
