"The mold problem in my basement was so bad that the mold accessor told me not to go in the basement anymore and to see my DR. Thats how bad it was. I interviewed 5 companys and the one thing that made me choose Home Healthy Homes is Glen was the only one who told me tape the basement door so that the bad air doesnt come in the kitchen. That made my decision. His men were prompt and courteous. On the 2nd mold assessment there was one small part that didnt pass so I called Glen and he sent the crew back to fix the problem. I then called the accessor and on the 3rd assessment he said the basement was mold free and the air quality was excellent. I was finally able to remove the tape from my basement door. Bottom line, I now have a safe basement for my children and grandchildren."

"I highly recommend G-Tech Restoration as an outstanding company. We recently discovered mold in our kitchen and the damage was extensive; finding a reputable company to do the mold remediation seemed daunting. After doing some research, we were so fortunate to come across G-Tech; Don called right away and Jack came to inspect the following day. We met with three different companies and in the end, G-Tech stood out far and above as the company that was genuinely concerned about getting our home back in order as quickly and painlessly as possible. Everyone we encountered was extremely professional, on time every day, and we were never left hanging, wondering what and when the next step would be. Pretty much half my house had to be packed up: every single item, from my large furniture, down to the smallest knick knack was treated with complete and utter respect. Every precaution was taken, as far as sealing off the affected areas and putting in air scrubbers, to ensure that we and our children were living and breathing in a safe living environment while the mold was being remediated. Everything was resolved in a timely, efficient, professional manner and now that we can begin putting our home back together, they even come back and move our furniture back into the house! Once again, I highly recommend G-Tech Restoration as a company of extremely knowledgeable professionals who actually care about the comfort and well-being of their clients. In my encounters as a homeowner, this is an extremely rare quality and I’m so grateful that we worked with them."

"I have had great results with David at Apex Mold Specialists, both during the testing process and after. He was extremely polite and respectful of my apartment. He thoroughly explained the testing process, my test results, and what to watch out for with mold in general. I have called him many times over the past year, with further questions and he always makes himself available to speak, free of charge. I would say he's gone far above and beyond and highly recommend him as a certified mold inspector."

"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"I called Michael Shain, owner and operator of New York Indoor Air Quality Solutions in request of having the indoor air quality of my home analyzed post mold remediation work performed by another company. After giving Mike a short description of my problem(s) and why I was requesting the IAQ analysis, Mike was not convinced that it was necessary and did not want me to waste money paying for unnecessary IAQ analysis and did not try to sell me services at anytime. Mikes sincere concern was for my health and well being, not for his profit. So, we made an appointment for that Saturday. Mike arrived a few minutes early and inspected my residence. He inspected every room and gave me a great deal of his invaluable knowledge and advice. Upon my request for IAQ analysis Mike did take air samples, had analysis performed and as he suspected mold spore counts were in a normal range. Michael Shain is very honest, personable, intelligent and knowledgeable. I regret not calling New York Indoor Air Quality Solutions first."

"I had not cleaned the exterior in nearly ten years and was surprised that they managed to remove stains that I thought were permanent. They did a great job keeping everything neat, clean, and protected as they worked around the house."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in East Hampton, NY

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
