"I called Dodge based on the high ratings on Angie's list. The lady who answered the phone asked if the door failed with the car in the garage (it did not) and since it was not an emergency we agreed that the repair could be made after the weekend on Monday. I provided her with the information from the data sticker on the Torque Master (model number and other information). Jake showed up at the agreed time on Monday with all of the repair parts and tools needed, made the repairs, lubricated both doors (not only the one he repaired) and made cosmetic repairs to cover where the opener had pulled material off the garage door. He was pleasant and efficient, and charged what he had quoted on arrival. He cleaned up and removed all of the old parts. <br />"

"Nick came out and spent over an hour of his own time figuring out the root cause of the garage light malfunction as it is on the same circuit as the installed driveway lights. The garage light burned out due to a manufacturing defect which Nick found. He removed the light, secured and sealed off the power lines and covered the box on his own time. The garage light was defective and the wires inside it had caught fire. I have ordered replacement lights which I will have Nick replace when they arrive. I have used Improvement Zone for several tasks around my home and the work is of excellent quality. I find the company easy to work with and their responsiveness to my problems has been outstanding, as demonstrated by this latest incident. I intend to keep using their services and recommending them to my friends. <br />"

"Very hard working. Showed up on time and worked well into the evening. Needed some additional work performed the <br /> following day, and showed up on time to complete the additional work, as well.  <br /> Very contentious about completing the work to the liking of the customer, and made some adjustments to the initial scope of work <br /> in order to leave us satisfied.  <br /> We decided to buy our own materials, so Kevin started out by completing his measurements and letting us know what was needed. While we were out purchasing the materials, he busied himself in removing all of the old materials that were to be replaced so that he was ready to start installing as soon as we returned--no time wasted. His measurements were right on target, and the materials we purchased were not wasted. <br /> We were also impressed by the attention to details and professionalism in the performance of the work. They took the time <br /> to explain what needed to be done and our options (pros and cons) for getting the work completed. We then picked the options which best fit our budget. <br /> For example, our initial budget was to have the rotted trim replaced with word trimming, which was based on my <br /> non-professional opinion that from a cost perspective this would work best for us. However, after explaining the long term benefits of replacing the trim with composite materials, we chose to go with composite--even though the initial price was about double the cost of word. <br /> In the past we got quotes for the work from contractors who would only quote replacing the word with composite materials, so we had nothing to compare the pricing against. We liked having it explained and for us to be the final deciders.   <br /> As a final note, one of our neighbors came over and requested that he do a minor repair to an exterior light on the outside of his garage, and Kevin was able to accommodate him immediately after completing the work on our home. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"They arrived on time and went to work digging post holes for the PVC fencing so concrete would set up for the rest of the job. Cut and measured the fencing and began to install it. The two man crew ( Ebvin and Aroldo ) were the consumate pros. Careful and correct measuring to insure fit The chain link fencing was removed and new fencing installed without incident..nice and tight fit. The gates in the PVC fence waited until last.. perfect fit and balance no scraping on the ground. Clean up was thorough and complete. Entire job was finished by 4:00 pm We would hire them again, but for now our fencing .needs are complete. We will recommend them to our friends and neighbors"

FAQs for garage door installation and replacement projects in Easton, MD

Yes, you can replace just one panel if your door is sectional and the damaged panel is available. Most modern residential garage doors have four to six horizontal panels that can be individually replaced. However, finding an exact match becomes challenging for older doors or discontinued styles. For doors over 15 to 20 years old or with multiple damaged panels, a complete door replacement might be more practical and visually consistent.

Minor dents or cosmetic damage can often be repaired without replacing the entire panel, potentially saving you money. However, if the damage affects the door's operation, security, or structural integrity, replacement is often a better investment.

For extensive damage to multiple panels or older doors where matching is difficult, full door replacement might be more economical in the long run than multiple individual panel replacements.

Your garage door panel might be repairable if the damage is superficial and doesn't affect functionality. Small dents in aluminum panels, minor scratches, or cosmetic issues often don't require full replacement. However, replacement is often necessary if the panel is warped, has large holes, shows extensive rust, or affects how the door operates. A professional garage door technician can evaluate the damage and recommend whether repair or replacement offers the best value and durability.
