"We could not have asked for a smoother project operation. John is honest and fair with his pricing. His ideas and suggestions gave us a finished product we are totally pleased with. The work schedule and time were perfect. ......... I showed a series of project construction photos to two friends out of area who are each concrete contractors. They both agreed that this is the proper way a quality driveway is constructed. ......... Thank you ever so much John John and crew. ~D&K"

"Island Concrete LLC installed a concrete driveway for me quickly (one day) and at an affordable price. The owner, Island, was present from start to finish to supervise and take part in the job. This was very reassuring."

"I called Doug for an estimate and he got back to me quickly by text.  He took at look at my property and gave me a bid for the job.  I also had other bids for the job but I was impressed with the fact that he had all of the steps included in the bid that we knew should be included in this concrete repair job.  Doug and his crew arrived on the job as scheduled and the job was completed on schedule.  I was impressed by the knowledge of Doug and his crew about concrete, thickness, cure time, etc. - all of them knew what they were doing, that was obvious.  I went with an aggregate finish and it looks great.  Doug even added a step at my back door for me with the left over cement.  I would definitely hire them again for concrete pouring needs.

"I could not be more pleased with Joseph and the work he performed. I needed an existing patio to be replaced due to tree roots which impacted drainage towards the house foundation. After 5 bids, I decided to go with Joseph due to his competitive bid and demonstrated expertise. He and his team were stellar, solid communication, friendly, and took the time to explain to me the leveling/answering all my questions. In 3 short days the project was completed and it looks great. I would highly recommend Joseph to anyone looking for concrete work."

"Sta-Built was the only company of the four contacted that followed through with a bid. They have great references. Ryan helped with the design. We did not think to include lighting and it was an excellent suggestion and decision. Hector and his crew showed up as scheduled and finished the job in two days. Hector assisted in making the right paver and color choices. We couldn't be happier with the end result. We will definitely hire again!"

"After he submitted a very competitive bid, I hired Nelson and his team to remove an old and damaged concrete carport slab, pour a new one and also replace the support posts for the carport roof cross beams. It was a big project and I needed a quick turnaround. The final work product exceeded my expectations and I was extremely satisfied with the final result. The new carport is beautiful, structurally sound and has added significant value to my house. Nelson was also a pleasure to work with. He was professional, continually kept me informed on the progress of the project and was always responsive if I had questions. The project came in right on budget and he even finished a day earlier than originally planned. I would definitely recommend Nelson and his team! They were great!"

"The job went smoothly as any constructer slow to follow up to air calls. Only 3-4 mos after job had & still have issues with the concrete sealer used. He has attempted to fix the issue. We have been waiting for > a year for him to come!"

"From beginning to end, Groundbreaking Construction was excellent. This company has excellent communication, pricing, and workmanship. They work with your budget, give options to keep the job within budget, and discuss pros and cons with you. They showed up when they said they would, sometimes stayed late to complete a project, and always cleaned up each day. The team was pleasant and respectful, and really cared about the work they did. I cannot recommend this company enough. A++"

FAQs for concrete finishing, overlays & coloring application projects in Eatonville, WA

With proper care, a stained concrete floor easily lasts 20 years or more. Reapply sealer every two to four years to protect against moisture, scratches, and daily wear. Routine sweeping, occasional damp mopping, and prompt repairs keep the surface looking sharp and protect the slab underneath, preserving both function and resale value.

Stained concrete can crack if the slab is exposed to extreme moisture changes, heavy impacts, or settling. Small hairline cracks are mainly cosmetic, but deeper fractures can affect the finish. Inspect the floor regularly, address moisture issues quickly, and hire a pro for timely repairs. Staying on top of maintenance prevents minor flaws from developing into larger, more costly problems.

The longevity of a concrete stain depends on the product you choose. Acid-based options chemically bond with the slab and are essentially permanent. Water-based stains sit on the surface and can be lightened, darkened, or covered with a new color at a later time. Select the stain type that aligns with your long-term design plans and your willingness to reapply the stain in the future.

You can update the color by cleaning the slab, lightly etching it, and applying a new layer of stain. Re-staining bonds to the concrete and resists peeling far better than paint. For a dramatic shift—such as moving from a dark acid stain to a lighter tone—you may need to grind the surface first. A flooring pro can advise on the best approach for your specific floor.

Stained concrete combines longevity with a modern, custom look. The finish resists heavy foot traffic, moisture, and everyday wear, so upkeep is minimal—routine sweeping and an occasional damp mop are usually enough. Because the color is inside the concrete, it won’t peel or flake like paint. Homebuyers also appreciate its sleek aesthetic and low maintenance, which can add a slight boost to your property's resale value.
