"This project went well. My systems are usually complicated but they always seem to get it running the way I want. Been using them for several years and plan to keep using them. For what I get it is well worth the money. better than any other local service and usually available whenever I need them. That alone is worth the price."

"On August 20, A.J. came over to my house to do a host of things that needed to be done that were beyong my home skills.  A.J. had scheduled 8am for us and came over at around 7:40. He immediately got to work putting in our bathroom ligh/fan in the master bathroom. He then slowly worked his way around to the kitchen area replacing all the towel racks in the bathrooms, which were improperly installed.
Next he installed a water line to our new refridgerator, he did stop for about 30 mintues to run to the local hardware store to pick up some items needed for the installation.  When he got back he explained clearly what he did and why he needed to get parts.  After that he worked his way to the downstairs laundryroom/bathroom to fix towel racks there and then worked his way outside to figure out the outdoor lighting system above my garage.  When that was done, I had but a 1/2 hour left of his time so I had him hang some pictures in the living room.  Out of my "to-do"list for him he got about half done, and that was really good since I thought I bathroom fan and water line woudl take all day!
At the end of the work day, A.J. and I talked about my back deck and the repairs that were needed to be done before the wet winter would come.  I was so impressed with his work that day I went ahead and scheduled another time for him to come back and refurbish my deck.   A.J. clearly demostrated professionalism and courtesy, in everything.  I am happy I found him when I did."

"I was very pleased with the work performed by Dallen.  In this case Dallen came to my house and provided feedback on my submitted request for quote.  The original concept placed the hot tub on the South side of my house, which would have required a great deal of excavation work.  After receiving the 1st quote from Dallen I changed this original plan substantially; nevertheless, Dallen happily submitted a 2nd quote (at no cost to me) that ended up being within a few $100's of the lowest quote.  Three other contractors were invited to bid this job with one substantially higher than Dallen.  A second contractor backed out when I requested a 2nd estimate, and the third lowest bidder had no real deck building experience.  Upon receiving the work Dallen met the hot tub vendor at my home and coordinated the construction details and installation plan so that when the hot tub arrived, it installed in about 1 day without any issues.
The work was performed by 1 full time builder (a graduate of Issaquah high school) and a second builder (a finish carpenter) that supported the effort.  Dallen is a family run business and the work was of a very high standard.  The job site was professionally maintained (clean-up was performed at the end of every shift), and the owner made frequent visits to the site to provide advice on the construction details.  Whenever I called with a concern Dallen called back promptly and always worked to resolve any issues that I had.  All of my issues, by the way, were minor and were quickly dispatched.  The builders were very friendly, courteous, and completely self sufficient - never requesting access to the home to complete their job.
Since I'm an engineer by training - I was very insistent that the builders have attention to detail and go the extra mile to ensure that the finish work was of the highest quality.  I was extremely pleased with the quality of the work.  The height of the deck was perfect, the boards were installed per Timbertech requirements, and the positioning of the boards (see photos) showed that the builders planned and executed the work professionally.
My only complaint is that it took > 1 month to complete the construction.  Having said that, Dallen had a second effort they were working in parallel, the weather was terrible, and the deck layout was rather complicated.  Regardless, Dallen didn?t rush the job.  I was much more concerned with quality and didn?t mind that they took extra care to complete the work.
In summary, if you're looking to add a high end deck to your house I would recommend getting a quote from Dallen to do the work.  I would definitely go to them again if needed.  Friendly, professional, attention to detail, cost competitive, and responsive.  No arrogance from Dallen ? unlike the second contractor that acted as if he knew best.

FAQs for home theater system or media center installation projects in Eatonville, WA

For those on a budget, a home theater system can be installed for as little as $5,000. This simple setup, which doesn’t require professional installation, includes essential components that provide reliable visual and audio performance. It's a budget-friendly way to enjoy movies, TV shows, and live events from the comfort of your home.

Plan to spend at least $70,000 for a high-end home theater. At this price point, you’re paying for advanced components, including flagship projectors, reference-grade speakers, dedicated subwoofers, robust A/V receivers, and professional installation. These features deliver outstanding picture quality, rich surround sound, and a polished finish. Costs climb quickly when you add custom seating, acoustic treatments, and smart-home integration, so ask your installer for a detailed estimate before committing.

The ideal screen size for optimal home theater viewing ranges between 100 and 120 inches. A well-proportioned home theater room measures 24 feet by 15 feet, with a minimum ceiling height of nine feet. However, smaller spaces, such as 15 feet by 20 feet or 10 feet by 12 feet, can also work well. These dimensions enhance acoustics and visual performance, creating an immersive entertainment environment.

A well-built home theater room should last as long as the house, but the electronics inside need periodic attention. Plan to review your equipment every four to five years to see whether new formats, connection standards, or performance upgrades justify a change. Upgrading outdated projectors, receivers, or streaming devices keeps the system running efficiently and prevents compatibility issues, all while protecting the investment you’ve already made in the space.
