"I had a different company come out previously to do a sweep and inspection. I have a fireplace with a wood stove insert. The first company told me that they could not pull my wood stove out because it was improperly installed and gave me a long list of items that I needed to get fixed (some of which seemed redundant) and that I shouldn't use my chimney until all the work was complete. I didn't get a good feeling from them so I called Complete Chimney to come out and do a second inspection to see what they thought. Scott and Jimmy (I think) came out and one of the first things they did was pull out my wood stove. They inspected my chimney and talked to me realistically about what I should have done. I have an old wood stove that I am not quite ready to replace, and asked if they could fit a new liner to my existing stove. He told me the new wood stoves require a 6 inch liner, where mine was an 8 inch, but told me they could install a boot to adapt to the old wood stove until we are ready for a new one. He was professional and didn't speak down to me. Since the weather was getting cold, I was worried about not getting put on their schedule in time. Scott called the office for me on the spot, and made my appointment for me. Andrew came out to do the work with a helper. They were on time, professional and courteous. I was impressed that Andrew knew the exact work that needed to be done, he even cleaned the shelf behind the stove that the previous company did not do because they never pulled my stove out. Even though they were there for several hours, there was not a speck of soot anywhere, except the workers! Will definitely use them again! <br />"

"After doing a nice job cleaning our chimneys and furnace flue, inspection revealed that chimneys were in poor repair. I hired Priddy Clean to install a stainless steel flue liner into the old furnace flue. The job required two holes to be made in the existing brick chimney. Old flue tiles had to be busted out by hand to allow the liner to be installed and routed through the chimney to the furnace. This turned out to be a bigger job than anticipated, but the work was accomplished professionally and much to my appreciation. The brick repair was done exceptionally well. I could barely tell where the holes had been made. Most importantly, no extra charges were added. I would recommend Priddy Clean highly to do any chimney work needed.10"

"McDowell went all out to help me--a new client. I was stood up three times by other chimney inspectors and faced a looming final deadline to meet the chimney inspection/repair requirements for the sale of my house. I called McDowell after hours with a plea to fit me into their schedule. I left messages for 5 other companies as well. None of them called me back. McDowell's staff called me as soon as they opened the next morning (7 AM) and worked to get my issues discussed at their morning meeting.
