"Thomas (the technician) quickly diagnosed the problem with my dishwasher and recommended a replacement part. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. I would highly recommend Neli as a low cost alternative to expensive appliance repairs."

"Our refrigerator stopped cooling and I went to Angie's to locate a repair company. One of the companies listed was Edwards Appliance Repair. I googled them and saw that they had some really good reviews. I msg them last night and this morning there was a reply when I got up. Tyler was courteous, professional and explained in layman's terms what the problem was. It needed a new motherboard. The cost was VERY fair and when I googled the average cost, ours was right in the middle. They'll be my first call if any other appliances decide to take a vacation!"

"He did not have the parts needed to complete the repair. I paid $140 down and will pay another $140 when the parts come in to be installed. There are several parts needed and the labor is also figured into the total cost. I'm saving about $100.00 by not buying a new unit. The tech was very knowledgeable and professional. His company is one of the few that work on microwaves."

"I expressed my concern to Kaley, the office scheduler, that I wanted an experienced licensed electrician to reinstall a ceiling fan that had issues. She sent Eric out with Kenny. Eric said the ceiling fan I had was defective and agreed to install a replacement. Kaley told me she would send Eric (who has 4 years experience) to install the fan but instead the very green Kenny showed up. After Kenny installed the fan you could not turn both the light and fan on at the wall. He had to call Eric and ask him how to wire it so that it would not do that. Eric told him how to fix the wiring; but the whole fan was wobbling and clicking when he was done. He admitted that something was wrong and he did not know what. He called Eric to figure it out while I called Kaley who did not answer and left a message. Kaley called back later and said she would send Eric out to fix the problem. Eric did come out but brought Kenny with him. Eric turned on the fan, looked at the obvious wobbling and clicking and said that nothing was wrong with the fan and that they all wobbled and made noise. I knew this was not true because I looked at the Lowes reviews about how smooth and quiet these fans were. Also, Kenny had admitted that something was wrong. I told Eric about the troubleshooting options for wobbling and noise. Eric was belligerent and refused to check anything. Such as a loose blade armor fan mounting not secure. I told Eric that the manufacturer said you could balance the fan blades by switching one fan blade with a blade from the opposite side. Eric said **That is not true** I said **So you are disagreeing with the manufacturer?** He did not say anything but told Kenny to switch the fan blades. He refused to check the blade arms, the fan mounting, the outlet box, or the mounting bracket to see if secure as recommended by the manufacturer. He said **I do not need to look, I know it is fine and Kenny installed some other fans like this with no problem**. Since Eric refused to do the job that Kenny admitted was not right; there was not much I could do about it other than say **Okay I will let it go** and then leave a review. I am now looking for a master electrician, working by himself, who is not trying to protect a green worker, to do this job. UPDATE: Kaley offered to send out an electrician who had more experience than Eric; and his name was Hector. Hector was immediately very polite, friendly, professional, and personable. He did everything he could to see what the problem was and fix it. He removed the ceiling fan and checked over everything. He was able to eliminate the noise by securing the base better. He lined up the chains correctly so that they were no longer difficult to pull and no longer making noise. He worked on balancing the fan blades and got them in better balance. I am overall happy with the experience and the end result. The reason I am not giving more stars is that I initially requested an electrician who was very experienced and skilled. I was told that Eric had 4 years experience and that he would be sent to me. However when the electrician showed up, it was not Eric, it was Kenny who was very green."

"We purchased a range hood for our stove and needed someone to do the installation. Jason was the man for the job. He responded right away, showed up at the agreed upon time, installed the range hood with a quick trip to Home Depot for the plug (not included) and cleaned up after the work, and the price was reasonable. We're very satisfied and recommend him."

"Terrance came to my house to give a quote.  He was very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous.  He tested the existing ducts for supply & return capacity.  He provided me with information on energy efficient HVAC systems, showed me options, and answered all my questions thoroughly when I was deciding which HVAC system I wanted to install.  My electrical service was only 100 amp, and I needed to upgrade to 200 amps to accommodate the new HVAC system.  He followed-up with me while I was getting quotes from other companies, and was not pushy.
The subcontracted electrician, Lawrence, with "LTAP Extreme Electric", was professional and courteous.  He and his apprentice, Diego, replaced my old electrical service panel and riser.  They ran electrical wire from the new service panel to the condenser unit outside.  The conduit run was perfectly placed, and gives neat appearance at the back of the house.  They also rewired at  the furnace closet, and for the new thermostat.
The next day, Rick and his crew arrived as scheduled to install the HVAC system.  They were all courteous and professional.  Throughout the install, (about 4 days) Terrance came by and checked in with me, and his technicians, to make sure things were going as planned.  Any concerns I had during the installation were addressed immediately, and to my satisfaction.  The refrigerant lines and electrical wire that were run outside at the back of the house to the condenser unit, were place inside a nice looking conduit.  The condensate pump drain line was tied  into the existing sink drain and sealed.  The guys did a great job, and everything works perfectly!  They cleaned up after themselves, and removed the old furnace and swamp cooler.
I am extremely happy with all the work done, the professional and neat appearance of all the line runs inside conduit, the new units, and insulation on the refrigerant lines and ducts.  I would definitely call them back for future work, and highly recommend Reliable Tech to anyone!  I love my new HVAC system!!  Bring on the humidity!

"Tech showed up on time. He let me know that under certain circumstances replacing the spigot could be more expensive than the purchase price of the Angie's list big deal. However, my spigot was standard and did not require any additional cost. The tech was in and out in 20 minutes. I am pleased."

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Edgewood, NM

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
