He started the job on Thurs and said we would be swimming by Saturday. The pool was actually ready a day early on Friday Josh and group are professional, polite and knowledgeable. It did look like a toxic mess - I kept waiting for the monster from the black lagoon to rise out of the mess. Then I got a flyer in the mail from The Pooligans LLC, and I called their them. Nick returned my call within 2 hours, and showed up the next morning to assess the pool. He explained what needed to be done, and what it would cost, and gave me a rate for weekly maintenance. Nick completely restored the pool, fixed everything that was going wrong and needed fixing, and every single week cleaned the pool. It was sparkling and beautiful all the time. Nick is responsible, reliable, courteous, dependable and extremely knowledgeable. It was devastating when he moved away. He's the best! I recommend Nick without reservation!"

"Our water heater needed to be replaced and this was my first Angie's List purchase.  $600 for installation including a 40-50 gallon name brand water heater plus they will take away the old one.  We initially wanted to consider a tankless water heater but the price was right and we needed this completed fairly soon as we were on borrowed time.  Just do it, right?  We did and it was completed.  I asked what brand water heater and I researched the brand with negative satisfaction results.  I was not happy but I already bought the offer.  The technician replaced our water heater with a 40 gallon AO Smith brand which was exactly the brand I wanted.  I am happy for that but he wanted an extra $250 for a permit and straps.  Shouldn't that be part of the installation?  My husband made a call to Angie's List and voila, all of the sudden, no extra fee!  But also no permit or straps.  THANK YOU, ANGIE'S LIST!  However.  Is our water heater within code without a permit and without straps?  We don't know but wedo have hot water."

"Choice was fast, efficient, and kept me posted on the progress of the claim. Although the water leak issue was discovered on a Friday, they had a plumber there to investigate by Saturday morning. When it was determined that the 20+ year old heater needed to be replaced, the replacement ordered, on-site, and installed by Wednesday morning. I am glad that we opted for the Choice Ultimate plan as other than the initial $65 service fee, all but one $50 ancillary expense was covered."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
