"Mr. Messina a licensed master plumber, first and foremost, a professional. The company I use as home warranty service sent him. It was for replacement of water heater that was showing signs abnormal pressure still under warranty. Safety was he first concern and after viewing photos of water heater definitely knew it wasn't normal... city utilities did shut the water heater/gas off . During the process of getting the replacement water heater Mr. Messina made sure to let me know steps along the way. All this being said, permits pulled , water heater arrived, was installed ,inspection set, once again a home with hot water. Certainly was blessed to have Mr. Messina as the plumber for the replacement water heater which now has an expansion tank. He knows his business, is honest , doesn't overcharge, he does things right ! Oh, he was fine with calling him Joe! Thank you, Mr. Joe Messina !"

"We had an outside water supply line break between our house and the meter on a friday night. This was discovered on a Saturday morning, and I called several places to find weekend service. Mr Popis came from about 50 miles away, and went right to work. He had a temporary water supply run within a few hours of arrival that allowed life to resume in our house. The job took two days to complete, but Mr. Popis stayed in a nearby motel overnight to accommodate our needs. <br /> <br /> We feel he went above and beyond to keep our lives running as normal. We have a family of 5 living at home, with 3 of these being teens. No water is a big deal. <br /> <br /> Thank you Mr. Popis"

"The technician replaced the stopper at a big cost. They charge service call plus bill for time. So they bill for a set amount of time, the last time I had one of their technicians out, he asked if there was anything else I needed, since I had paid for an hour. <br /> Not this time. <br /> I won't be using them again for a minor problem. <br />"

"looked the job over on thursday and said it would cost 350 or less and "he'd hate to even have to charge us that"  returnd friday and worked under 3 hrs changing the airvent routing and changing out old toilet with new one we provided.   wrote us a bill for 460.00 including 63.00 in parts. paid him and by later that afternoon found a leak, cheched it out ourselves and found the new airvent which should run uphill ran a inch downhill in a foot and a half.  called them and they are returning today.              when yor figure 460 less 63 thats 397 divided by three hrs thats 132.33 an hr rate for this company.  will not use them again becuase they give one price then charge another and do work by an hourly rate. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Elkland, MO

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
