"It went well. Everyone that I have worked/talked with at the company has been extremely professional. The team that installed the windows were hard workers and professional. I don't have any complaints about the services and I going to use them again. I had 8 windows replaced and I will be using them to replace the others in my house. I definitely recommend them for replacing windows."

"We are getting estimate now. However, we wanted an estimate on replacement of front door and to cover windows on side of door. We were told 12 weeks until work could begin. And, to cover the two side windows on the side of the front door, we were going to have to buy $1,000 of fiberglass even though we only need a very small amount due to the fact Windows World did not need it; but, we don’t need it either. I would have assumed this company would have extra Fiberglas on hand since they use the material for jobs??? So, the font door is out. We are waiting on an estimate for replacing a window. We were told the back four replacement would be around $800-$1,000; is this reasonable?"

"Contract had been executed earlier in the year (2012), but actual work was not scheduled until March. Team of 2 people arrived promptly on the scheduled date and worked 8 hours per day until job was finished, approximately 5 days. Installation reqjuired custom fitting, cutting, and installation the soffit and fascia around the complete exterior perimeter of our home. The job was very difficult because our house is built on a steep hillside and much of the work was done in high, hard to reach areas. Team worked very carefully around our home to avoid any damage and cleaned all debris each day before leaving. After final day, even though we were not at home, they cleaned up all debris and left the area pristine."

"We needed an old rotting wooden deck replaced in order to list our home for sale. The estimate given for when work would begin was accurate, and the project was completed ahead of schedule. Small details, like the routing of coaxial and security system cables behind the deck, were handled well. The build quality is excellent--much better than the original deck. Job performance was very efficient, and the clean-up nearly spotless. Would hire again for sure."

"The salesman, Sean, was very knowledgeable. He worked with us over several months (it was quite an expensive job). No pressure to commit. After we signed the contract, communication flowed appropriately. The installers were very courteous and professional. They were timely and cleaned up the job site daily."

"It took several months before they got to me, because they are quite busy, but I was not in a big hurry. They did an excellent job; it looks great! They re-used my brick and did a good job of matching the mortar. They removed the whole area around the cracks, cleaned it up, and then re-assembled it. They also redid some brickwork under a downspout and that looks nice as well. They put new molding and lintel around the garage."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Athens, AL

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
