Customers say: Quick response

"I recommend Mike A. as a Handyman to do any job in your home! I needed so many repairs made to sell my Millington home. Mike A., well he did it all! Door jambs, light fixtures, ceiling fans, drywall repair, he reattached my gutter, house painting, window pane replacement. As I live out of town, Mike updated me daily with photos via text and if he had a question, he called. And I'm sure I got the better deal out of it, Mike is most reasonably priced and worked with me on payment."

"I texted a request early in the morning and had a response within a few hours and he came to the house that evening. He gave me the option to fix the few tiles (which he felt would be a temporary fix) or to pull everything up and put down concrete board and retile. I chose to have him retile. The work was started 4 days later and completed the next day (Christmas Eve). They took care to pull up the tiles so that they could be reused. It has been almost 2 weeks and no problems. I have had to fix and paint some trim but Paul said at the time that he and his crew do not paint and that I should expect to have to do some painting where they had to tear out the baseboards. Overall, I am happy."

"The entire foundation of our deck needed to be replaced and then cleaned. Mase, who was in charge of the project, did an excellent job. He communicated with us at every step and always did what he said he would (which is important to us) The cleanup was also good We are quite pleased with the results We would definitely use this company again for home projects"

"Replaced the thermostat. Our old one had issues and became difficult to program. (Very inconsistent.) I bought a new upgraded one (supposedly easier to program) for $55. Porch installed it relatively quickly and did a good job. Very personable. The installation cost for roughly an hours work was $178."

"I recently had a very frustrating and costly experience with 180 Degree Renovation, the job went okay at my home. But when I told my sister about his work, she needed windows in her home. So we paid $7,300 for new windows the work took place on 8/30/2018. I paid him in full because I needed to go out of town. I told Mr. Ward about the window that would not lock he said he would take care of it just let me know when you are back, I needed one window to be adjusted and a towel rack. I text him and told him it was okay to come over, he said he would be there the following week, I felt confidence that he was going to do just that. (THAT NEVER HAPPENED ) What happened to people doing the right thing? I wanted to get what I paid for. I just want the window to work properly- obviously I was asking too much. Never give all the money until you are satisfied. I would not have felt so bad if it wasn't my sister's money. She trusted me to hire a professional and reputable person to do the job. My sister has been with cancer. I overly estimated Mr. Ward. At first he seemed to be very professional and courteous. When you hire someone you expect the job to be done right. Sincerely"

FAQs for mirrors installation and replacement projects in Ellendale, TN

If your mirror needs recoating, mirror resilvering costs between $110 and $350. Otherwise, you can replace just the glass if your mirror has a frame. You can get a mirror cut at a home improvement store or cut it yourself with a glass cutting tool. If the damage is extensive, there’s a chance you’ll have to replace both the frame and the glass.

Mirrors come in nearly any size, with your local home improvement store usually having 48-inch by 72-inch mirrors for a home gym or dance studio. You can also buy custom-designed mirrors in whatever size fits your needs. Oversized mirrors often start at $1,000 or more, depending on the size and design.

Mirrors are expensive because manufacturing them requires specialized machinery, such as a furnace that reaches ultra-high temperatures to produce molten glass, then a way to cool and form the glass. You cut mirrors with a diamond saw and coat them with metal to create a reflective surface. A silver-backed mirror also requires a chemical process, though most mirrors have an aluminum backing now. A framed mirror can also add to the price.

To look for a quality mirror, consider its purity, flatness, thickness, and reflective coating on the glass. The glass purity can ensure a distortion-free reflection, and thicker glass can decrease the chances of distortion as well. The reflective coating makes a difference, and high-quality mirrors will have several thicker coats of reflective material, like tin-mercury, aluminum, or silver.
