"We recently had a major plumbing issue in the main level of our home and after being terribly unhappy with the company that did the initial dry out, we decided to have Kelley Construction do our repairs. When they came into our home they discovered that the other company didn't dry it out properly and we were left with a home that was uninhabitable. Kelley Construction helped us prove our home was unsafe and made sure we were immediately removed to a place that was safe while our home was properly dried out and repairs were being made. Jeff has been available to answer all of my questions promptly and make the process much less stressful than it could have been."

"We really enjoy our new toolshed. This is not just any old shed in your backyard, this is a shed the size of a small garage. We had a particular set-up that we needed the shed to fit in our yard to accommodate our fenced-in area. Cornerstone was able to create a spec of the new shed to our requests including double-doors and windows. We also requested a pitched roof where we can have additional loft storage. It was amazing the transformation. All was done within a short period of time and the Cornerstone team worked with us all the way. We bid several other construction companies and Cornerstone's bid provided us with more of what we wanted (tear down existing and rebuild new structure) without the huge price-tag others had quoted to "renovate the existing structure". I will definitely use Cornerstone Builders again for my future remodels and builds. Great job, great service, and attention to detail."

"The initial visit on June 7th was satisfactory. I was told that John would be back within 2 weeks to replace some shingles around the can vents that had been damaged by a raccoon. No one ever came or called to reschedule an appointment. On July 14th I called ABC and requested the status on the repair. I was told that my inquiry would be passed along to John. Again, no reply. On July 30th I contacted ABC via email and advised them of my concerns. The next day I received a reply via email that I thought was rather rude. John <em>did</em> contact me later that day and arrived later in the day to complete my roof repair. He did a very good job and I was satisfied with the repair. ABC Construction needs to provide better customer service by keeping their customers informed of delays. <br />"

"Years ago,we had been referred to Bob by a friend who was totally impressed with his work. His work is just perfection and I would consider him an artisan. We are so pleased with the results. As I said, his work is perfect. Besides being a great guy, he is helpful with suggestions and money-saving ideas. <br /> <br /> <br /> We need some additional work done in a couple of months and will definitely have Bob do it. He is a patient, thorough, dependable, knowledgeable, and hard-working individual. <br /> <br /> We needed Bob to do more work for us in finishing in April 2014. and were fortunate that he was willing to fit us in on several consecutive Saturdays. We had a pre-sale home inspection and Bob completed the necessary work perfectly along with installing 19 new doors. The house looks totally updated and as usual, Bob's work was perfect."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Elmwood, IL

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
