Small jobs welcome

"We had a broken window that needed repair and couldn’t be happier with the service we received. From the start, they were friendly, responsive, and easy to work with. They showed up when they said they would, fixed the window quickly, and the quality of the work was excellent. It’s always refreshing to work with a small business that clearly takes pride in what they do and genuinely cares about their customers. What could have been a frustrating situation turned out to be a smooth and positive experience. I’d absolutely recommend them to anyone needing window repair!"

"I received 4 bids to replace a tacky looking shower enclosure with a frameless one. The representative was knowledgeable, and the end product is beautiful. The price was very competitive."

"Jaye Sparks owner of Blade Glazing gave an excellent, detailed estimate of material and labor costs for replacing of glass in 6 windows and resealing glass in others. He did excellent work in replacing glass and in resealing and repairing other windows. Good communicator, came out to give an estimate soon after my initial call to him and installed as soon as glass order was received. Went above and beyond what was requested to insure that all windows in the house are tightly sealed and in excellent working condition. The work was done for the very reasonable price quoted in his estimate. I would hire him for any glass or mirror work that I needed and recommend him to anyone!"

"I was there a few times, and I like their selection and their prices. There is another hardware store that is closer to my house, and they were a long drive, but they had all the stuff that I needed. If I needed some specialized stuff, I would definitely use them again."

"They rescheduled several times after they couldn't keep original appointment. Windows look great. They did break an antique when their ladder fell inside the house. They didn't offer to compensate or replace it."

"

The work that Prestigious did was top-notch and we couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the workmanship and materials. Derek, the owner, was very responsive to our needs and desires and guided us through the process. Probably the thing we valued most about him and the company was the prompt and clear communications: Derek would tell us when workmen would be coming, what they'd be doing, when he expected them to finish the task, and asked if we had any concerns about the work. Although the price we paid may have been slightly higher than other companies' prices, we felt that the value we got was certainly worth it. And Derek was very up-front about the costs and worked with us to get them within our comfort zone.

When problems arose (such as a workman stepping through our kitchen ceiling,) Derek quickly scheduled the repairs and made sure that they were completed to our satisfaction (and at his expense.) The only glitch in the whole process (which lasted about seven weeks) was the glass door on the shower: the subcontractor cut it wrong three times and had to keep coming back to install the doors that he had manufactured. We were able to use the shower during this time, but it was annoying to have to continue the job until the subcontractor got it right. Derek was very concerned about the problem and gave us a discount on the job to compensate us for our inconvenience. And I don't think that he'll use the same subcontractor in the future.

We certainly will use Prestigious in the future for any home repairs and remodeling we want to have done.

FAQs for glass shower door or enclosure repair projects in Ennis, TX

The type of glass shower you choose depends on your household size, lifestyle, and budget. Custom designs and frameless doors will cost more to install and repair. Framed glass shower doors can be a more budget-friendly option.

If your glass shower has many people using it daily, you also want to opt for durable glass options, and you’ll need to stay on top of maintenance and repairs.

Regular cleaning and sealing are key to keeping a glass shower door in its best shape. A glass shower door looks great in modern bathrooms, but when the glass is covered in dried water spots or smudged fingerprints, it can make the entire bathroom look messy.

  • Apply water repellent: Water repellent costs about $5 to $10. Use it to help wick away water droplets from the glass.

  • Squeegee the walls: Keep a squeegee in the shower, and use it to remove water from the glass after each shower; this only takes a few minutes.

  • Weekly cleaning: Each week, use a glass-safe cleaner or a foam cleaning eraser to scrub down glass shower walls.

  • Monthly cleaning: Check caulking and reapply as needed to prevent leaks, particularly for frameless doors. Clean the tracks to prevent the door from sticking.

There are several glass treatment options out there that can make it easier to keep your glass shower door clean. Treatments can help keep soap scum, corrosion, and pesky little fingerprints at bay. You might pay as much as a 30% upcharge on the price of your glass shower door to add a protective coating.

Even with a protective coating, you have to clean your shower. If you are diligent about wiping down shower walls after use and giving the glass a more thorough cleaning every week, you can likely save money and skip the added glass treatment.

If your shower endures heavy use from multiple family members and guests, a protective coating can make it easier to keep the glass spotless.
