Small jobs welcome

"Was willing to fit me into a schedule on short notice. Showed up on time, with fresh eggs from his chickens! Estimate for time was spot-on. Great work with a friendly demeanor, clearly communicated expectations. Knows what he is doing, cleans up after himself."

"Great! This is a "if I didn't belong to angies list I'd join to write them a review" kind of company. I've now used them three times and they've been prompt, professional, and have gone out of the way to make sure the job is done correctly. They cleaned the gutters but also checked the roof, did a little pressure wash/treatment, when it was needed, and even sealed up a little leak in one of those gutter corner junctions . . . these are the folk you want to do this work for you!"

"Late this summer, I noticed a small tear in the vinyl deck surface on our back yard deck. I emailed the Waterproof Deck Company (Scott Dennis) and asked for advice on repairing it, to maintain the waterproofness of the deck surface. This company was the installer of the vinyl surface. Scott indicated that it would best to have him come out and do the repairs. He indicated that he'd get back to me soon and schedule a time to come out. He called me a few days later to schedule the time to come out and make the repair. He showed up at the agreed upon time and made the repair. <br />"

"Rich did a great job for us. We had some build up of moss and he got rid of it all and treated the roof with zinc when he was done. I would add that it would be a good idea that you let your neighbors know if you're going to have this done. There is a good chance of over spray with water and possibly some dirt, as was the case with us. Rich gladly rinsed off any dirt that landed on our neighbors property. He is a good person and I highly recommend him."

"Great! We interviewed three companies and Ron Spillers, at West Coast Decks, was highly professional and the most informative and helpful. He came in person to give us a bid which really impressed us. He gave us good information early in the bid process so we could adhere to building codes. We compared several products and selected a composite deck and new railing system. Ron offered advice about the quality and reliability of the products we chose. He dealt with us directly as we worked through the design process over several months. He was accessible throughout the project as questions or changes occurred and was prompt in communicating and offering creative solutions for design challenges. His foreman was pleasant and professional also, and the crew worked efficiently and stayed on time. Our deck is beautiful, and we would definitely hire them for future projects!"

"White Glove did an excellent job working on our small N. Seattle residential repair. Dave was very helpful with the initial quote and setting up the appointment. On the chosen day, the electrician arrived promptly. He assessed the situation, went to work, then finished the job promptly. We'll use them again!"

FAQs for deck, fence, patio or porch clean and seal projects in Enumclaw, WA

You should clean your deck before sealing it. Cleaning before refinishing is critical. If you don’t remove dirt and debris, you'll trap moisture in the wood, which prevents the new sealer from working correctly and can lead to costly repairs. Whether you need to sand, power wash, or sandblast depends on your deck's condition.

Sealing and staining your deck are essential maintenance methods that protect and beautify your outdoor space. Stain adds rich color and guards against fading, while sealant fortifies the wood against moisture and weather damage. Wood type, climate, deck age, and the degree of existing damage determine whether your deck benefits from one or both treatments. Using both options extends your deck’s durability and enhances its overall appearance.

Power washing and sealing your deck costs $500 to $1,700. This process combines the removal of stubborn dirt and debris with a protective seal that preserves the wood’s integrity. Effective cleaning eliminates harmful buildup, and a proper seal prevents moisture damage and wood decay, ensuring long-term durability and reducing future repair expenses.

Your deck must be sealed every one to three years to maintain its strength and appearance. Regular sealing is essential to protect the wood against moisture, mold, and harmful UV rays. A consistent sealing schedule prevents rapid deterioration and costly repairs. Inspections should be performed annually to determine if the protective layer remains intact, extending the life of your deck.

Leaving your deck untreated compromises its structural integrity and safety. An unprotected deck rots quickly due to moisture and environmental exposure, which means that neglecting sealing results in rapid decay and expensive replacement costs of $4,125 to $11,650. Sealing your deck is essential for maintaining its durability and protecting your home.

The sealant on your deck dries within a few hours and reaches full cure within 72 hours before regular use. It is essential to wait until the complete curing period to ensure the protective layer fully sets and resists weather and foot traffic. Proper drying guarantees that your deck is fully protected against moisture and environmental damage, ensuring lasting quality.
