"Our front window shattered. It was after hours and I wasn’t sure what to do because we couldn’t go to sleep without a window. I tried a couple of companies but did not receive any response. When I reached out to Supreme glass, they called back within minutes and arrived at my home a half hour later. They cleaned up the glass that was splintered everywhere and put in a temporary covering created to size while we wait for the new window to arrive. Their service was amazing!"

"Had Stanek windows and patio door installed approx. 15 years ago. Patio door was getting a little difficult to slide open and close. Called Stanek, they sent technician, Cory, out and within 30 minutes he had door operating good as new. Our Stanek windows are great and good as new."

"We wanted both doors to open in and out, but we realized that the arched doorway in one shower made a dual swing door impossible. Joe was wonderful in working with us to find an acceptable way to make the door work. He had to have the glass re-made. Many other less professional or honest contractors would have blamed us for the problem or left us with a poorly working door, but not Joe. He is the real deal. <br />"

"I had used BK Window for client projects (I am a designer of commercial interiors) & rental properties. All experiences were exceptional, so when it was time to make a substantial investment in my own residence, I called BK for an estimate. I received multiple price quotes from companies recommended by other owners in my building, but chose BK based on their reasonable price and also my comfort with knowing how they performed on other projects. <br /> It took awhile to get a representative out to give an estimate (they are busy -- but well worth the wait). When taking a look at our project, Joe was thorough, polite, professional and patiently explained what to expect and the type of solutions his company could offer. <br /> This job had challenges: transporting large pieces and equipment up an elevator, working to remove & replace an entire wall of  floor-to-ceiling glass panels within 8 hours, moving furniture, scaling a 2 story foyer to get onto a narrow ledge, etc. <br /> Installation took 2 days. A four-man crew worked diligently to solve some access issues and everything went smoothly. <br /> They were tidy, efficient, knowledgeable when faced with unforeseen issues, courteous, etc. <br /> Stellar workmanship and they definitely worked well as a team. <br /> We couldn't be happier with every aspect of the final result. <br /> It was such a positive experience, the very next day we contacted owner to say we want to replace another 12 of the same large windows immediately (a job we thought we'd do next year or so.) Highly recommend this locally-owned company. <br />"

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Euclid, OH

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
