"<p>Every phase of this job was carried out with the utmost professionalism. The initial appointment to discuss the job was done in a very professional way. My desires were listened to and no high pressure sales pitch was made to try to sell the most expensive materials for the job. All potential problems were discussed and solutions proposed. This first visit stood out in contrast to visits from other bidders who were constantly pushing to sell services and materials I did not want. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>All arrangements required to order the windows were carried out in a timely  and professional manner. My schedule for the summer months was considered in planning the installation of the windows. The two-man installation team arrived as scheduled and completed the job in just over 1/2 day. Their concern and care for my property as they did the installation was superb. The sunroom was left clean and ready to use when they departed. The area outside the wall where the windows were installed was a flower bed full of plants. It would be hard to find any sign of the fact that the crew had to work with ladders in that area. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>Jones Window and Door Co. is a firm that is very conscientious in every phase of their work. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing the services they offer.</p> <br />"

"They're great. On the last four years they came out on three different occasions, first they did almost the whole house, then my shop, and they had notice that one of my window had a cracked and they replaced it after two weeks. They had a great prices and follow through."

"For 30 years this door has been misaligned and had to be opened and shot pushing really hard with your shoulder. The door was just not quite home right but it wasn't bad enough to fix until I decided why am I leaning on this door so hard every time to open and close it.... The reason was is I did not know or trust anyone to fix it without just telling me to get a new door and frame. A contractor friend of mine told me to call Dave and have him come over and look at the door. This other contractor told me that Dave was one of the best door people in town and was very honest and high integrity and does quality work. I highly recommend Dave if you have any door that doesn't feel right or you know needs fixing but doors can be tough let me tell you Dave will give you honest advice and if you could fix it he will. Dave came over to my house on time was very friendly and respectful of my house. I showed him the door in about 10 seconds he told me the fundamental problem and he said he thought he could fix it in about an hour and that he would charge $75 for that hour. I could not have been happier with his work and that $75 fee. If you have any door problem call Dave at Eugene sash and door. Dave knows what he's doing and he's an honest solid guy. <br />"

"They didn't clean up as well as I had hoped. There were a lot of things that I had to do afterwards which I thought they could've done themselves. They have a reputation for coming in and being really clean and leaving like we never knew they were there, but that definitely wasn't the case. I think they were too busy or something. I don't know. I would not recommend them, but I would also not say not to use them."

"JC was wonderful, knowing that we were under the gun to get the repair done quickly, he was able to make time and did a beautiful job repairing our kitchen pipe and surrounding wall and cabinets. He gave us a list of things that we could do and/or purchase in advance to limit his time so that our cost was reduced. JC was honest and very flexible. JC was also very pleasant to work with, and although he doesn't list it, he is very good with little children who are interested in watching him work. In addition, he was very willing to answer a few odds and ends questions I had about other issues I had with the house. I would work with JC again any day."

"I'd noticed my carport no longer seemed to be squared up, one corner (downhill) a bit lower than the other three. Matt came out and determined that actually a couple of the corners were off. He sorted it all out, squared things up, replaced a couple of posts and it's good as new."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Eugene, OR

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
