"We have an old house and needed 9 windows replaced, including 1 large 3 panel, 2 door side panels, and 6 basement windows. Getting an initial estimate was easy, and the installation process was expalined to us in detail. We needed some of the windows in obscured glass and liked their options. The installation was done in good time and completed in one day, as expected. We are truly amazed with the fit and finishing of the new windows -they look great! We highly recommend Windorco and would definitely use them again!"

"Brad met with me to evaluate my vision of the project.  I wanted to have my existing porch and garage light fixtures (4 of them) moved higher and backboards constructed, painted and installed so that I could use larger fixtures on the house without cutting into the siding.  He understood exactly what I wanted because he asked questions to make sure we were both on the same page.  He had helpful suggestions.  He presented me with information and options that I hadn't thought of.  This was very important to me.  I don't like surprises. <br /> He does projects in blocks of time and I had failed to ask him about this when I first contacted him.  I would have had a list of additional projects on hand in case he finished earlier than the block of time. <br /> But I am so happy with the final project.  He did a beautiful job.  One of my fixtures had a defect so I had to order another.  He showed me exactly how to install it when I received the replacement so I wouldn't have another charge for him to return to do it.  I had no problem doing that - he left the easiest connection for me. <br /> He was more expensive but it was worth it to me to have someone meticulous to do the job.  I am very exacting and go crazy if I see any flaws.  Not a problem with his work. <br />"

"Very hard to initially schedule a time or receive call backs but once the time was set up, everything went very well. They had limited product selection but we were able to do all windows but one and the coverings came in much ahead of schedule and installation was very quick and well done. Installation and cordless shades were no upcharge which kept the price down quite a bit."

"I called Einar Johanson to obtain a quote in early April. Representative came to the house a few days later and gave me an estimate of $1350 for three window panes. Windows were 66"x42", 29"x18" and 16"x30". He said the windows would be ready within two to three weeks but because of a backlog may not be able to install until July at the earliest. Was not a problem so I went ahead with the purchase. Requested a $300 deposit which I paid. They called in early June to say they had an early opening for two reasons. One, I am not far from the business and two, the job wouldn't take much more than an hour and a half. Scheduled for June 10th at 9:00. They arrived about 8:00 that day and I was not home but someone else was to let them in to install. House is a rambler so access was easy. When I arrived about 9:15 they were just finishing up. Cleaned the new windows and removed old and any excess material. Polite, professional and efficient. The kind of businesses I like to work with. They have done work for me before and I will use them again."

"They were great both times. They offer lots of choices, and the prices are very competitive. When they install, they are so neat and organized that everything just looks great. Some contractors will trash our house while doing something, and these guys are just fabulous and really easy to work with. The first time, the price was well over $1000. I am very happy with the windows; they look beautiful."

"This was probably my best home service experience in my 30 years of home ownership. Jose was the point man for the day and was extremely friendly, courteous and explained all options and the reasons for each decision clearly. He and Rich took detailed measurements throughout the house and built eleven perfect screens of varying sizes for my unscreened (is that a word) casement windows. We did have one window that I had forgotten about when requesting the appointment. No problem, they built another without any fuss. After seeing how good screens can be, I'm going to be calling them again soon to replace the old, existing screens in other windows. The ScreenMan screens fit much better and are nearly invisible."

"King County Window and glass was awesome! Not only was their quote the lowest their installers were phenomenal. They were professional, yet friendly. Worked around our busy morning trying to get everyone out of the house. They were very nice to our 16mo and 3 year old kids. Also aside from leaving behind beautiful new windows you can't tell at all any work was done. They cleaned up everything related to their work. These guys were so nice and friendly I would invite them over to our house to watch a Seahawks game."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Everett, WA

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
