"John was great.  He promptly responded to my call and gave as close an estimate as he could, given the uncertainty of what he would find once he started work on several of the projects.  Once we found a date that worked, John showed up on time and ready to work.  He kept me aware of what he was doing and what problems he might encounter.  He also worked with me to utilize materials I already had in order to keep costs down.  He replaced some rotting wood in the eaves and on an exterior corner above the porch roof, filled some more rotten wood in several locations, and repaired a concrete wall.  Quality of work was excellent, work was efficient, and price was good.  I will use John again and would recommend him to anyone. <br />"

"Sean and his foreman Chris did a great job of repairing all of the dry rot on my home (approximately 200 linear feet), priming the new lumber, caulking and sparkling all of the work, pressure washing the house, and repainting the house and gates. Sean also replaced my bathroom light fixture, repaired one of our outdoor faucets, removed all of our raingutters, and filled the gutter downspout holes in the sidewalk with concrete. Sean was able to contact a roofer to take up and replace the shingles that needed to be removed to do the repair work as well as a company to replace the gutters. The whole project took about 3 weeks. Thank you Sean and Chris--the house looks great!"

"<p>November 2015 - Avalon reached out to correct this issue.  Still discussing which project he will work on.  Will definitely amend this review once work is complete.  This grade was a reflection of response time despite purchasing the "deal of the day", not on work performed.</p> <p>December 2015 - Work was completed over a period of two weeks - had a delay due to problems in our electrical work which he was able to identify.  In the end, he was professional throughout the time he worked with us and gave us a great kitchen backsplash.  I am happy that he worked with us through the initial communication problems to finish the job.  Will use again. </p>"

"This man's contributions to our expansive townhouse renovation are without measure.. The realtor who got to see both the before and after views of his work immediately asked for his contact info. His work spanned over a month and was without exception excellent, allowing us to save enough money to keep on budget while others were indicating projected costs of over twice what our budget allowed. He performed door replacement, plumbing (including toilet seating for during some flooring project) ) as well as fixture repair and replacement,. He repaired door locks, easily replaced plastic ceiling covers for fluorescent lights which required specialized cutting ( the previous handyman had to drive downtown to get this done by some glass cutting place). My "to do" list for him was at least seven items for each visit. He tackled them all with ease. He is a gifted problem solver and honest, honest, honest with his rates, often undercharging to be fair. I needed assistance during a peak construction period and while four different people ignored my initial requests for help, he returned every phone call or text. I simply cannot say enough kind words for his great assistance, guidance and advice. <br />"
