Mr. Shadid is a very hands-on owner from working with us on the design of our new deck, to submission of the application to our HOA, to obtaining the county building permit, and actually constructing and supervising the deck with his his own crew. Randy was very collaborative and responsive as we refined our requirements and specifications. Once we committed, Deck Builders helped us with the County permits and our HOA submission. The two person crew, Baldemar and Miguel, were phenomenal. They worked incredibly hard in very hot conditions and always answered our questions and inquiries as they were doing their work. They were always very positive and seemed to care a lot about the quality of their work (which was excellent) Ricardo came by several times and ensured everything was done to specification and even made some recommendations on lighting, which the crew installed. When we chose to hire him to build the pantry, his secretary called to confirm the dates and times that the workers would be here. They arrived on time and worked a full day. They returned on time again the second day to finish the project. Very professional company, easy to talk to, and great finished project. "Had a great experience doing a bunch of jobs around the house that we had put off for too long. Thomas and another gentleman whose name i forget came for a couple days and they did a wide range of things we had asked them to do- fixing two doors that haddnt worked, replacing and painting boards on our porch, fixing a handrail, etc etc. While they were here they noticed a section of shingles were coming down and they were able to fix that quickly. They did it all very professionally, swiftly, and good quality and humor. It feels like a new house - i wish we had them come sooner! We're definitely going to have them do more work in the future."

"Rick and his Before and After Home Improvement “All-Star Team” provided outstanding professional work in replacing the water damaged posts supporting my deck and the design and work to complete a stamped concrete patio, walkway, and front porch. Our property sits on a hill such that water from our neighbor’s yard drains into our own with some of it settling against our house under the deck. The deck was constructed about 20 years ago with part of the wooden posts buried in the ground. Although the wood was pressure treated, over time, the marshy ground had compromised the integrity of the deck support posts. We had contacted several contractors to request proposed estimates. Some were unresponsive. Others would not fully address our concerns about correcting the water drainage and adding additional concrete to anchor the new deck support posts above ground. Rick was by far, the most responsive. He listened to our concerns and based upon his 45+ years of experience, provided several recommendations for correcting the damaged deck posts and the drainage issues on our property. He gave us a prompt and reasonable estimate. His team went to work right away. We were so pleased with the results that we discussed the idea of the patio and walkway. Again, Rick listened to our ideas and provided excellent recommendations to move us to a beautiful design. Upon contract award, Rick’s team went to work immediately. Rick himself visited the site on a daily basis and communicated with us on the progress. When we suggested some changes, he was very flexible and responsive. "HD Exteriors replaced our 20 year-old wood deck with a beautiful new Trex deck in April. We had gotten 4 presentations from companies based on contacts we got from the Capital Home Show, and HD Exteriors was head and shoulders above all the others in design, detail, cost, and communication. Graham Jr., was our point of contact in setting our contract, and he was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and clear. He listened to what we wanted to do, offered suggestions and didnâ t try to upsell us. We were given a start timeframe, but our actual start date was earlier, which we appreciated. Throughout the entire process of signing the contract, having questions answered, being assigned a project manager, (Jai, who was always accessible and awesome) and the actual work being done, the communication was excellent. We were notified when workers would be onsite, when inspections were scheduled, when walk-thrus were done, and had access via text to our PM. All of it was extremely well done. The deck was finished with excellent workmanship, even when they installed a style of steps theyâ d never done before. We canâ t say enough positive things about the entire company and how they operated. They were a pleasure to work with. Weâ re just sorry we donâ t have anything else for them to build!"
