We picked a tile from Floor and Decor and set out to find a contractor. The first contractor, highly recommended on Angi, came in and proposed an installation that would have cost over $6,000. That struck us as much too high. We then approached JW, which had done work for us in the past, and got an estimate that struck us as reasonable. But to get their top tile installer, Cesar Miranda, we had to wait nearly two months. We decided to wait and are glad we did. When he arrived, he brought three different grout and gave us our choice. He then did an outstanding installation."

"Chris's estimate beat everyone else's who came to the house or just looked at the house remotely via Google Earth by about $4000-$9000, and because we were in a quick time constraint, Chris was able to work with us, barring the weather.  Chris and his crew did a great job!  Cleaned up well after themselves, and were very accommodating to our scheduling needs. There were a few can-lights that were jostled loose in the kitchen ceiling from the banging and movement up above the rafters, and I had to have a contractor come in to fix those (so Professionalism is just an A-, not a true B, but the Angie's list scale doesn't account for minor points).  Overall we were very pleased with the service, and the estimate.  the final cost was just a bit higher (approx $150) for more plywood that he'd anticipated would need replacing.  If I had another house that needed a roof in VA, I would use Chris for it.  I wish he worked in the new state we moved to. "Lumbee Roofing Solutions did an excellent job under emergency circumstances. Our roof in Temple Hills, MD was significantly damaged by the March 2, 2018 windstorm. We found Lumbee on Angie's List after we discovered the damage, and contacted them the next business day. Despite a heavy workload created by the storm, Mr. Barnes himself (Lumbee's owner) inspected our roof 48 hours later, gave us a written estimate (with photos of damages) that evening, and fully repaired our roof the following day.
