"Matt was professional, arrived on time, and gave a fair price for all work performed. He performed the entire job (dry wall installation, trim repair, and painting) himself. He communicated well throughout the process and was happy to explain any work he did. He says he won't do anything that he wouldn't do in his own home, and cares about the customer's happiness over getting the job done quick."

"Bruce and his crew finished over 1000 sqft of basement for my family, including a wet bar, 3/4 bath, game room and family room. I cannot say enough about how great it was to work with them. From the minute Bruce walked in our house to give us an estimate, we knew he would be the one for the job. He had a great personality, understood what we wanted to do and was up front about cost, timing, any limitations, etc-- we could just tell that it would be easy to work with him. Bruce's son, David, did most of the woodwork. He did a fantastic job of duplicating the staircase from our main floor (we happened to also have leftover spindles). He also created a custom built-in bookcase as well as worked with standard cabinetry to make custom-looking bookshelves in our bar. We really trusted that if he said he could do something, he could-- and he did! What we really appreciated was the work ethic-- when they said they were going to be here, they were here. They were always here around 8/8:30 and put in a full day's work, unlike other contractors we've dealt with in the past. The sub contractors that Bruce works with (HVAC, flooring, plumbing, etc) were all punctual and responsible and were also here when they were supposed to be. Because of this, when quoted 3 month from start to finish, they were spot on! They started our basement at the end of April, and were finished mid-July. The project was not without its set-backs or errs, but whenever we brought something to Bruce's attention, it was remedied promptly and without question. All in all, for major construction, this was the most pleasant project we've ever had completed and would recommend Norse in a heartbeat."

"Vinc came and gave estimate and was very professional. The original job turned into a bigger job and he handled that very well. He was upfront with us on any changes in cost and completed the project professionally and skillfully. "

"The job was promised by the very attentive owner Doug Kropp in 1-2 weeks. He had a crew leader Paul who kept everyone on track and on time. Even though labor day holiday fell in the 2 week period, he had a worker here. All the work was custom and looks as if it was part of the existing now 19 year old home. I highly recommend this team of excellent professionals."

"Tony was great. Came on time and did the jobs relatively well.   He did not paint in between the slats of the deck or the underside which would have been nice, however, he did tell me that unfront.   Overall the job was quite good and he was very personable and professional. <br /> HOWEVER, when I have attempted to get him back for additional jobs, I've received no response.   Not certain if the job is "too small" but have been waiting for over 6 weeks and initially he responded, but then never followed up to my additional E mails.   Now have to have start all over with a new contractor.  Very disappointing. <br /> <br />"

"Jeff P. and his team did a beautiful job!!  Clean, prompt, courteous~ always friendly and understanding with our requests. Drywall and trim finish fantastic!  We had several contractors give us estimates on finishing our walk-out basement.  Jeff impressed us, as he was adamant about using permits, it gave us a sense of security. His estimate was about the same as the others. <br /> <br /> "J"  (Jeff's helper) couldn't be friendlier~ he did an awesome job on the tile and bathroom.  <br /> <br /> Brian was great too (He is also a photographer so you know he has an eye for detail).  <br /> <br /> My only advice would be for him to use a different electrician.  Electrician disappointed on numerous occasions causing our permit approval to be delayed. (Our ratings do not reflect our experience with the electrician.) <br /> <br /> We have highly recommended using Jeff Payne and MBA Contracting to those interested and would definitely use him again."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Farmington, MO

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
