"This is the 2nd house that I've had Matt and his team install fencing to enclose my backyard. He made it all even easy and worry free. The installation transpired without any issues. It took 2 days to install. When they were done, it was like the fence was always there. No debris, it was all cleaned up and ready to enjoy."

"They did a great job! Bill and his crew arrived on time, were well organized, and everyone knew what to do as they split up and went to work. Workmanship was great, they cleaned up every day, and carted away any debris. Bill was there every day, and checked in several times a day to make sure all was well. They even pressure washed the deck, which really needed it, and fixed several sprung boards. Doug even helped fix a patio door that had trouble closing, and repaired and painted a window flower box. Few was great, friendly, and hard working through the sun and the heat. I would highly recommend MHI, and Bill and his crew. Job looks great as I sip coffee on my deck, great craftsmanship!"

"Nosh is a true craftsman and an outstanding professional.  He provided a clear quote and stuck to it despite some unforeseen additional expenses.  His craftsmanship and professionalism is second to none.  He and his crew arrived each morning, worked hard, and cleaned up every day.  When more of the old stone was damaged than expected, he made MANY calls around to warehouses and was able to find an exact match to our 9 year old stone!!!  It's not just a match, even...it's the same stone.  It had be sitting in the warehouse for 9 years.  He bought what he needed for the job, advised us to get more for future repairs, and delivered it to our home.  I think we bought everything the warehouse had.  We'll never be able to find that stone again (as many masons have told us previously), but now we won't need to.  Most other contractors just don't put forth that extra effort to do the job right and make the customer happy.
When discussing other potential projects and details, he is very cost conscious while still having an eye on aesthetics.  He even came back after his work was complete to meet with carpenters to provide guidance on working around the remaining poorly installed stone.  We some of the caulking around the base of our backsplash had tiny holes after drying, he came back and fixed them.  We will definitely have Nosh back to repair more of the stone and do other masonry and tiling work.
Nosh has a bit of an accent, but it's really nothing...just a little extra patience when communicating over the phone.  With his skills and experience, this is the expert you want to do your masonry work!  Finding a true and honest craftsman like Nosh is 1 in 10,000 at least.

"A coupon promotion was purchased for 4 hours of handyman services. I had talked to the owner on a couple of occasions to ask what materials I needed.  A special reverse swinging door had to be ordered from Lowes to accommodate what I needed.
A pocket door was removed and an entrance way (reversed swing door) door was to be installed.  I wasn't home when the work was performed.  I had a house sitter.
After removal of the pocket door, the handyman determined that he could not install the door as I had wanted.  He wanted to install the door so that it could open into the kitchen.  The door would always bang on the refrigerator.  Had this been the case, I wouldn't have needed to spend an extra four times the amount for a reverse door, I could have just ordered a regular door.
On the phone with the handyman, I insisted that the door be installed swinging outward as it was meant to.  He was able to come up with a solution.  The door works great. No problems at all.
He also helped level out a screen door that had become slanted.
In terms of responsiveness and punctuality, I had emailed the business owner many times to get a final invoice for the work done.  He never did send me an invoice. I would recommend this vendor.  He did do quality work and left the house clean.

FAQs for barbed wire fence installation projects in Farmington Hills, MI

Barbed wire is a type of fencing made from steel wire with sharp edges or points spaced along the strands. It's designed to prevent unauthorized entry or contain livestock by acting as a physical deterrent. Barbed wire fences are often seen in agricultural settings or high-security areas because they're effective, durable, and require little maintenance.

You can expect to pay between $3 and $6 per linear foot for a barbed wire fence, including installation. The exact price depends on factors like material quality, number of strands, wire thickness, and labor costs. If you have a larger project, bulk purchasing and hiring a professional might offer cost savings.

The number of strands you need depends on the fence's purpose and the level of security you want. For a standard livestock fence, you might use three to five strands. For higher-security needs, you may require more strands to meet your needs. Consider your specific requirements and talk to your fence installation pro to determine the appropriate number.

Barbed wire fencing regulations vary by location. In many residential areas, the use of barbed wire is restricted or prohibited due to safety concerns. Before installing a barbed wire fence, work with your barbed wire fence installation pro to check local zoning laws and homeowner association rules to ensure compliance with regulations.

The lifespan of a barbed wire fence depends on the quality of materials and environmental conditions. Fences made with high-quality, galvanized wire and proper coatings can last between 20 and 30 years. Regular maintenance and inspections can extend the fence's longevity by addressing issues like rust or damaged strands promptly.
