"I would recommend Capstone Remodeling to anyone who will listen (I already have two friends planning on reaching out). Stephen, Jaime, Nelson, Geraldo, and Juan Carlos all did amazing work and I plan on hiring them for any future work I have done on my home. Stephen was very responsive and communicative throughout the whole process. The first thing I noticed was that Stephen discussed my options with me and made sure the solution he was providing was what I needed. I've dealt with other contractors who talk over me or try to convince me they know best, but not Stephen. He was also very mindful of time and budgeting concerns as some less than pleasant surprises were discovered under my existing floor. Stephen, Jaime, and Nelson had their work cut out for them and had to rip out the existing flooring structure on about 350 sq ft of my house, which had not been built correctly when it was originally added. That room used to be a safety issue (the floor was falling apart) and now it's my favorite part of the house. They also extended the new flooring throughout the main level of my house. Geraldo did a beautiful job of repairing drywall, patching, and painting the addition. He is so meticulous and skilled that I don't think I can ever be satisfied to paint a wall on my own anymore. Juan Carlos laid new tile for my fireplace hearth and has made it such a wonderful feature of the house. I know this is a long review but I really can't say enough good things about Capstone Remodeling and everyone who worked on my house. I am so used to having to be on top of things and figure things out on my own but Capstone Remodeling was dedicated to making sure everything was taken care of and done well. They are the best!"

They start by providing an on-site estimate (though there is a modest fee, it is well worth it). There is great value in a contractor having eyes on your job before they quote it. They then provide a comprehensive estimate and review your scope of work in great detail. Scheduling the work was easy, and the two technicians that worked my kitchen project were polite, professional, and gifted craftsmen. JWHI was so easy to work with, and the result of my kitchen renovation was everything that I asked for. "Omar and his team led by foreman Juan Carlos have done half a dozen projects around my 120-year old row house in NW DC, and the results are fantastic every time. They built a master closet, which involved moving walls, re-routing ductwork and electrical, and finishing and painting. They also redid my living room, which involved troubleshooting and repairing an old fabric-wire circuit, installing a mounted TV with hidden wiring, and finishing and painting. The jobs were quick and affordable and resulted in top-quality, long-lasting results. I’ll be trusting them to build my new double-decker covered porch scheduled for later this year. He came into a job that had been royally screwed up by a prior contractor (see review of Stevenson & Sons). He thoroughly inspected the property, prepared a detailed bid, gave us advice on the most important items and delivered a bid that could work with our budget and the existing lender requirements. His entire crew were professional and consciencious. Devin delivered on time, on budget with high quality work. He kept us informed throughout the process. The portico he built is frequently the subject of compliments by our neighbors (and people just driving by). We will use Devin to continue improving our home. "We met with a couple of contractors and liked Scott DiJulio the best - he was very knowledgable about our type of project and we felt very comfortable talking to him. The basement space where we wanted to add a bathroom was quite tricky because there was no rough in and it was not obvious how it would work. However, Scott came up with a plan that we liked a lot and we felt the price he quoted us was pretty reasonable. The whole project (which also included the addition of an egress window) took about 5 weeks to complete. All the workmen involved were very courteous and professional, and did a great job cleaning up after the project was finished. The bathroom turned out absolutely beautiful - even better than we hoped for. And we didn't even have to ask for any touch ups that we noticed needed doing because they were already all taken care of when we did the final inspection. We would definitely recommend DiJulio Contracting to others, and in fact we have already made plans ourselves to have them come back for a different project in our house."
