"I wanted to follow up my earlier post now that the job has been completed. The work to be done, our house was built in 1968 and there was a gap between the basement wall and the foundation that needed to be filled. We also needed to encapsulate the space. We were in the process of selling our home, and this issue came up in the home inspection. As anyone who has bought or sold a home this summer knows, we found out all the contracting firms are booked solid. We offered to work with the buyer, making repairs after close via escrow, but the buyer rejected and the offer was withdrawn. We decided to go through with the repairs recommended in the inspection report, including the work listed for the crawl space before relisting. We were concerned we would end up in the same situation, unable to make repairs in the inspection report. We had already purchased our new home and were carrying two mortgage payments. Another delay to close would be expensive. As mentioned earlier, Marty from Advantage Restoration was able to inspect and provide us an estimate for the work needed within days of our call. The owner of the Advantage, Mike Bird, called me directly to work out the schedule. Advantage Restoration was booked up, but our job was a smaller one, so they were able to fit our project between other projects. The work was started at the scheduled date and was completed in 2 days, as estimated. All work was done as specified on the estimate, and the final cost matched the estimated cost. The work itself looked great. The work crew explained the work and each step in the process to completion. The final result, we relisted the house and received a new offer. After inspection, there were no remediation items listed by the buyer, including the crawl space, and we are moving straight to closing. Mission accomplished! "My home is on a crawl space so when Chris, Mike And Jake got there they had to disconnect plumbing from water heater and softner then remove water softner to get to the rotted floor. Once floor was removed they noticed that some venting that went to the furnace had become unattached probably due to the rotten floor. They reconnected the venting to the furnace, reinforced the floor joists, put new flooring and linoleum. Had to re-plum the water heater, put the water softner back and re-plum it. These guys did an AWESOME job, they made a horrible mess look brand new it looks and works great. This was an all day job these guys worked really hard knew what they were doing and got the job done. I would not hesitate to hire Chris and his crew from Changes Unlimited for any remodel or repair I have in the future, they can do anything! "Ricardo and his workers were very hard working. He was very knowledgeable about the concrete business. He took the time to answer questions during the project. Before the work started, there were 4 tall Yew shrubs that needed to be removed. They were very diligent about removing the shrubs, even cutting roots by hand. Additional stone and fill dirt was necessary, and he brought those in at minimal trucking cost. Ricardo was bi-lingual, so language was not a barrier. We would recommend him and his crew. They completed the job as discussed. He had the equipment and manpower necessary to complete the job. This was a front and back sidewalk and cement garage pad project. The forms were laid out on Monday, the sidewalks were poured on Tuesday, the cement pad poured on Wednesday, and the job was completed by Friday."
