"I was worried at first how good they would be because the price was lower than I expected but they did a great job. Work was done faster than I expected too!. I would definitely recommend them to anyone for whatever plumbing needs you have. Jeff is a master plumber and it shows."

"It was good. We only had one small complaint. The connection to the gas line had a leak. We called at 10:30pm at night, they told us a dispatcher was close. But they never came by. I called them, I had to call them three times that night. They did come to fix it the next morning. They were apologetic. The quality of the installation and the work was good."

"I called Lovelace Plumbing at 5:00 Thursday and we identified that it was not an emergency.  They called me back Friday morning and scheduled an appointment for Monday.  They called me at 10:35 and asked if they could come now.  90 minutes after that phone call, I was writing a check for the completed job. <br /> The job involved cutting through the back of the cabinet and the drywall into the wall and replacing a segment of the 40 year old drain pipe that had obviously failed.  He also improved the overall drain plumbing under the sink. <br /> They do not do drywall work to repair the wall afterward, but they told me that in advance and offered to refer me to a drywall guy.  They did put the back of the cabinet back in place so it looks acceptable until I get the drywall handled. <br /> Good work, quick work, good price. <br />"

"We had a lot of rain this year, and now and again we get us a hurricane. What stands out is their attentiveness, you don't sit around for a long time waiting for somebody to talk to you. They work with you on your schedule and often I got a ride home if I needed to leave my car there. You have to ask but I know how to ask and they are very good about that, pulling you off, they always have an appointment for you immediately if it's an emergency and within your schedule if it's for tires or for something that you just want done with your car. I use them all the time."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Fort Benning, GA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
