"It was a steady process. Of course there were hiccups along the way, but with Renaissance & myself working as a TEAM on this project, everything was done & done well. I do believe that is KEY on any project, especially one of this size. I told Jamie at the beginning of the project that communication was VERY important to me. Jamie was quick to address any questions or concerns I had. He picked up my calls every time. I will hire Renaissance Restoration for all home improvements and/or updates."

"Simple repair for an experienced carpet installer. <br /> I called him back to look at something else and again he was prompt and professional. Will call him again if I have any further carpet issues. <br />"

"It went EXCELLENT!!!! I would recommend him to anyone that's needs any home improvement repairs or new construction. Charles was hallways on time and was so detailed in all that he did. He didn't steer us away from anything that we wanted done. He listened, understood and made it happen. We had a very bad experience with our previous contractor and Charles came in and did everything we asked to perfection. I'm a very detailed oriented person and I'm truly ecstatic about all the repairs. We also have him coming back after the holidays to do more work in other parts of our house. Great job!!!!!!"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Fort Gratiot, MI

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
