"A-maze-ing. These guys were GREAT - I won't be calling anyone else in the future. First, they spoke to the woman in the house exactly as they did to the man - no dumbing it down for the ladies. Physically showed me what was going on and explained it well so I understood what was needed and why. They let me know which repairs needed to be done immediately and which could wait - no hard upsell at any point. They set reasonable expectations for what improvement I could expect with each step. Polite, friendly and helpful, showed up well within the estimated window. Before each visit I got a text with the name and picture of the tech who was on their way and a phone call from them to confirm. In 5 visits I worked with only 2 point people, meaning they weren't having to start from zero every time someone walked in. He fixed it in a short period of time, with a lot of hard work digging down aproxmitly 3 feet. I was not at the property and unsolicited he sent me photos of the defective parts, and the repairs. He further went the extra mile by backfilling and replacing the material with an eye to the final appearance of the finished work. From the first contact to the last total was about 5 hours, on a Friday afternoon. He did not try to sell me a whole new water line replacement, just fixed what had to be done. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
