"We just finished a spectacular install by Karoly Doors and Windows. It all started with Brandon and the sales presentation. There was no pressure and he was knowledgeable and kind, which made us feel confident in our decision to chose them. I had timely notifications on the arrival of my hurricane windows and sliding glass doors and prompt scheduling once they arrived. We were so excited to get on the schedule and the office streamlined everything. Bo and William were two of the nicest, professional, and hard working installers imaginable. Picasso could not of installed these windows more perfectly! They were clean and took their time, the caulking looks like artwork to me! What a great company, I am so happy we chose them. I would give 10 stars if I could."

"Professional Windows was recommended to me by two of my neighbors who had their windows replaced by Professional Window. Both neighbors had told me that Professional Window's pricing was among the best but most importantly that their work effort was done properly and cleanly. When Scott and his friendly crews worked on my house and at my mother-in-laws, we had the same experience of high quality installation work done very cleanly and timely. Given the high demand for impact window installations in South Florida and the dependence on the window manufacturer to produce the custom windows in a predictable schedule, Professional Window did an amazing job keeping us updated about the manufacturer's schedule and accommodating our needs when it was finally time to do the installations. I would highly recommend Scott and Professional Window to anyone who asks me."

"We had all our windows and doors replaced by BNT. While the PGT product is excellent, our overall experience with BNT was average at best, especially when I realized that their Angie’s List coupon was misleading. Notice the coupon states “Windows” in bold letters leading one to believe it’s a heading and not part of the coupon. The next line states “5% Off For Angie’s List Members”. Make sure you understand that the 5% off is ONLY ON WINDOWS (not doors or any other non-window product) which is usually the cheapest part of the order. When I disputed the misinterpretation with the sales guy and asked if they would change the wording to something like “5% Off Windows For Angie’s List Members” he assured me they would look into it – as of this review it hasn’t changed. Also, pay close attention to what’s written in the contract and try to detail your expectations clearly. There may be other potential (and deliberate) “misinterpretations” which could lead you to believe something else such as when payments are due. As far as their post installation service, one of the installed windows was ordered with an opening to the wrong side. I was told it had been ordered and 4-5 weeks later when they came out to fix several other installation issues, it had not been ordered at all. They then had to place a “second” order for the window and had to wait another 4-5 weeks. BTW, make sure you pay close attention during installation – the installers are sloppy and will try to perform the job as quickly as possible."

"It took four companies before I found Royal Palm Aluminum and I recommend them to anyone installing or replacing windows. Our sales executive was Ken Hilgendorf and I cannot speak highly enough of him and the team. Every step of the process - from providing a quote to final inspection - was executed exactly when Ken said it would be. We have a second project at some point in the future; and Royal Palm is the only company we will hire. <br />"

"I was originally going to replace all of the screens around the house when I made the appointment, but in the end just decided to do one window where the window screen's frame was broken. One guy replaced that. The other guy came into the house and repaired the window balance rods. He also made sure the window closed and locked properly. Polite, professional. Accepted the Angie's List coupon. Although because they had less work than originally anticipated, they did have a minimum charge. <br />"

"First, I can’t say enough about their representative, Justin. It wasn’t the product i was buying that sold me; I bought Justin… then the product. Every single week he texted me with updates to my order that I needed expeditiously. The needs of his clients are priority one! Owners need employees like Justin. As for the install: these installers are the “rock stars” of windows and doors! They are beyond professional, and did a great job. The only company I didn’t have to go behind and point something out during my entire remodel. Thank you Keenan!"

"It went well, especially considering how busy they were. They did an excellent job, staying on top of things, and make sure everything was perfect. When one of my front windows did not quite match the home association windows, they had the manufacture replace it at no charge."

"The repairman was prompt and courteous. In no time at all he removed the door, replaced the worn rollers and lubricated all the other moving parts. Such an easy fix for an annoyance we had put up with for a long time. I will not hesitate to call Sunshine Doors next time <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
