"After eight years, my EZ Breeze windows were in need of a serious cleaning, and Jared with Exterior Additions made them look brand new again. He was punctual, incredibly professional, and extremely detail oriented. Jared went above and beyond in every way. Since they were the ones who originally installed the windows eight years ago, their expertise and familiarity with the product really showed. The windows are now spotless – exceeding all of my expectations! I highly recommend Exterior Additions and Jared to anyone who has EZ Breeze windows! You will not be disappointed!"

"From Start to Finish this Project went Great. Stan the man came to my home and worked with me to get the right products and good quotation for what we Needed. No oversell, or extensive presentation involved. The owner Matt Wheeler came out during quoting and installation as well to make sure everything was as promised. Additionally the installation team of Tony, Mike, and Marshall were as professional as they come, making sure every detail of the installation was perfect. I could not have been more pleased with the process, and the job well done."

"We had our whole house done in Hardiplank including all of the trim and soffits and had some gutters replaced. Lasting Impressions did a fantastic job. Our house was old so there needed to be some wood replaced but they always informed us and waited for our approval. Once we did approve they were quick, professional and high quality with all their work. Our house looks great. They were by far the best price for the work they did and Eric was great to work with. Very responsive and made sure it was done right."

"Pro: Meticulous, professional, timely, excellent work product. Would re-hire them without a second thought. Con: Can't think of any, except maybe that they aren't the cheapest? We tend to not hire the cheapest service providers anyway - usually get what you pay for. We recently moved to Charlotte; knew when we bought the house that the relatively recent addition needed some fresh attention to address the original painter's failure to prime, resulting in deteriorating paint as well as some wood rot on windowsills and trim. We saw Serpaco Painting busy at work on historic homes in Dilworth and decided that if they can be entrusted with that work, we should at least get a quote. The owner, Chris Gray, arrived to give an estimate and we knew right away he is the kind of person we prefer to give our business to. He took time to carefully evaluate the job and give us what we felt was a reasonable estimate - he described his business as not the cheapest but not the most expensive. When the crew arrived, his crew chief, Hugo, was also personable and professional. The crew remained roughly the same throughout the job and were pleasant and polite (never saw a cigarette around them, either). They consistently showed up when they said they would, explained what the day's priorities were and then followed through. Chris was onsite at least once a day to keep apprised of progress and to point out any additional priorities to Hugo and the crew, and also to touch base with us. He also provided well-reasoned advice about colors and contrasts when we asked. The job ended up requiring more woodworking than anticipated as there was some additional, hidden rotted wood. Hugo may be primary a painter but he is also an adept craftsman, rebuilding our front porch facade and column. They prepped more than any painting crew I have ever seen, sanding for about a week before starting any paint. The priming was thorough and the painting very well-done. When the job was deemed to be nearly complete, Chris came to walk around with us. He noticed the things we had noted, but also pointed out several other areas that were not to his liking; Hugo came back the next day to repaint one of our shutters that was a little streaky, and one entire side of the house that needed another coat to counter the effects of the sanding that was required (the extra coat improved it tremendously), but also to take off, sand, and refinish our front door. Although the front door was not part of the coat, it seemed that the bleach used in pressure washing the siding had dripped through the plastic-and-tape covering intended to protect the door. The refinished front door looks great, too. We are extremely happy with the finished product and suggested that Chris can keep his sign in the yard as long as he wants."

"Extremely sloppy installation. Terrible. Significant rework will be needed on my part to fix. Some roofing damage done during installation. Good product (the guard system itself), horrific service and installation. Seem to take the approach of if you can’t see it easily the homwowner will have no idea. I wanked the roof so saw it all."

"Luna and his team were excellent. They did an absolutely amazing job and we’re so friendly. Great customer service all around. I have lived in the home for a while now and can find no issues at all. They sanded the walls prior, because Luna showed me where there were many rough spots all over the walls which felt like sandpaper; the flat builder paint hides this poor sanding job. If he had not shown me this my eggshell paint I was having applied would have shown every single bad spot and looked awful. Even with the sanding; it was a extremely good price for the job. I even got the garage painted it was such a good deal! I would use Luna again no question and have recommended him and his team to many of my neighbors and friends. Hire Queen City Painting and will not be sorry."

"Palmer's refinished a 6ft x 3ft mahogany mirror that has been in my family for 70 years, and facilitated the replacement of the glass. The job went very well and I'm really happy with the result. They picked up and dropped off, stayed within the quote, kept me posted along the way, and only required four days to do it. I absolutely recommend Palmer's and would use them again, maybe for an antique cedar chest my family has had over 90 years. I would trust them with it."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Fort Mill, SC

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
