"Glenn and his team we incredible! We were a new build and a big undertaking with 3 stories and a large deck on the third floor. They completed all of our framing and making the project fully weather tight. We appreciated Glenn and his teams advice along the way, this project would not have been a success without their recommendations. Following the completion of their work Glenn has remained in touch to provide additional guidance and support, and offered to help us with any obstacles we may face as we work to finish this project. Great experience and highly recommended!"

"Completely satisfied throughout the process of choosing a contractor and having them replace old shingles.  Brian returned my call promptly, met me when he said he would, started and finished the job on time, while keeping me updated daily on the progress, and did quality work. <br />"

"I wish I had used these people earlier. I ordered a part for my dryer and was able through their instructional video to fix it myself. Let me tell you I am "mechanically challenged" in just about every way. LOL I may have cut myself through my own stupidity but I did it. it was easy and I did not have to pay a repair man for a simple fix. Thank you so much!"

"Office staff was courteous, and scheduled for next day. Workman was friendly. I thought it odd that he had to go back to his shop for something on such a simple job. I didn't get an estimate at the beginning--my bad--and the bill was exorbitant. When I called to ask for a breakdown between labor and parts, what I got instead was a different figure and an apology, saying she'd "entered the wrong job number," or something similar, suggesting that they just charge by the job category. I don't like this way of doing things. The fitting he put on my faucet is not anything like the standard fitting for an outdoor faucet, and it's mounted way off center. Sloppy job."

"We are THRILLED with our shed! Post worked with us to design the shed EXACTLY as we wanted, plus they kept in touch with us regarding the delivery date, which had to be delayed due to the prolonged winter and our need to prepare the site AFTER the snow had melted. Delivery was within the two-hour time frame they scheduled on the build date. <br /> A crew of three arrived to complete the building of the shed on site. They answered all our questions and double checked with us regarding the placement of the shed on the prepared site. Only one issue arose during the on-site construction, although we resolved it nicely. When I went into design the shed, I had specified that I did not want any white trim on the shed, so I paid extra for brown windows and verified that all window, corner, and door edgings/trims would be cedar--not white vinyl. However, I did not think to ask about drip edging that goes along the roof. So, the shed was delivered with white drip edging. Fortunately, one of the carpenters explained to me that this would be highly visible, so he recommended that I go buy brown drip edging at Home Depot.  I agreed this was necessary and left immediately to purchase the brown edging so it could be installed instead of the white. It was worth the effort!  The lesson here is that if you are designing a shed, be sure to ask about the color of the drip edging. <br /> Overall, this was an excellent experience. The sales person was patient and professional with all my questions; she answered many questions by email. The carpenters who constructed the shed were polite and eager to ensure the shed was built as we wanted it. They also cleaned the site at the completion of the job. I would definitely hire them again!"

"Excellent results, the work was completed in two days. Brandon went out of his way to find the color roofing I was looking for. The crew also did a great job of cleaning up the job site when they were finished. I'm very pleased with the results."

FAQs for new windows service projects in Frankfort, ME

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
